Agreed, just trying to put pieces together and you can tell the emphasis is on ball movement and defense. Not his strengths.

Either way, Ntilikina is looking like a an actual player these last few games. Hopefully he's turned a corner.

Edit: My god, it is even worse than I expected. Mills and co. legitimately believed they put a good team together for Fizdale.
 
Thank f*** that Dolan doesn't treat the Rangers like he treats the Knicks.

Gorton would have been fired two times over and we'd have Messier as coach and Gretzky as GM.

He was actually hands off of the Knicks during Phil Jackson tenure and I believe this run of Steve Mills.

Jackson was horrible, but Mills is even worse. It's like the Oilers hiring Chiarelli to replace MacTavish.

Remember Jackson wanted to trade KP for Lauri Markkanen and picks? That trade is a much better return than what they ended up with.

I kinda get the impression Dolan is hands-off for certain periods of time after he makes a new hire. And then the problem is he can never stay away long enough when things are bad to let them correctly solve themselves. Like he constantly cashes in his chips at the worst possible moments.

But then again, there's also the fact that Steve Mills somehow still holds any kind of position within the franchise. The Hardaway contract alone should have been an unquestioned termination.
 
Fizdale has to go. He might be the worst coach in NY sports right now, and that's really saying something.

This is the much bigger issue. I don't think Perry has done anything really wrong. Porzingis basically wanted out and was a douche. Got a bunch of picks and a former lottery pick for him. The Knox pick has been fine and he's developing, and he didn't screw up by not taking Barrett.

Someone went to Dolan and told him we'll be getting superstars in the offseason. That ended up not being true. Someone either lied or misread the room completely. I would not be surprised if that Mills. Fizdale was also supposed to lure in players as an attractive coach to play for. Now that it is not possible, he's going to be gone really soon.

The only bad choices Perry made was signing every power forward in NBA free agency. Fortunately, those are all 1 year deals and a better mix can be brought in for next season.
