I don't think it's disappointing if our depth is so good that he has no room for higher. That would be a bit disappointing to pull in a 3C with a top 4 pick. Even if he could be the next Jordan Staal, that kind of sucks. Worse than KK anchoring a dynamic third pair.
I do not agree with Musto's view on Frondell. I think AF projects very well to being a top 6 center.
Though does he bump Bedard or Nazar to wing? Tough to say, but only because they are both studs.
if I say Korchinski might be the Almora pick I'll really lose half the boardyou are going to lose at least half the board with that comment.![]()
I still remember my brother telling me hes the Cubs Derek Jeter.if I say Korchinski might be the Almora pick I'll really lose half the board![]()
I’d love to see Bedard and Nazar work out as the 1 and 2 C leading to a championship caliber team. That would be awesome and it would be fun to make the size obsessed people eat crow.I think Frondell actually would compliment both boys on the wing very well because of his shot, forechecking and physical board battles.
We won't know for sure anyway for a year or two. I would like to keep both Nazar and Bedard at C but I see a world where they would do well on W too. Let's see who we end up with this year as well.
Congrats on getting Mod btw!
As long as they have bigger wingers, it'll workI’d love to see Bedard and Nazar work out as the 1 and 2 C leading to a championship caliber team. That would be awesome and it would be fun to make the size obsessed people eat crow.
Tampa Bay did not have a big forward group at all. What they did have was a monstrous Dcore. As long as they have bigger wingers, it'll work
Still need some forwards to play the heavy game, particularly in the playoffs.Tampa Bay did not have a big forward group at all. What they did have was a monstrous Dcore.
That sounds similar to what Davidson is building….
They should have that coming with Boisvert and Spellacy.Still need some forwards to play the heavy game, particularly in the playoffs.
those are bottom 6ers, maybe middle six if you get luckyThey should have that coming with Boisvert and Spellacy.
So Martone is your draft preference?those are bottom 6ers, maybe middle six if you get lucky
Hawks need that size and skillset in a 1st line forward
not easy to find
I have my top 3 as Schaefer > Misa > MartoneSo Martone is your draft preference?
I have my top 3 as Schaefer > Misa > Martone
so yeah if we're picking outside the top 2, I'd go with Martone
but the organization seems to have no interest in him
I'd even go Hagens after Martone, but they don't seem to want him either
I don't know why they're zeroed in on Frondell and Desnoyers when Martone and Hagens are a tier above those guys
Hopefully we pick 1 or 2, so we avoid a controversial pick
source regarding who the front office is interested in?Do you have links to support your claims or are you just pulling stuff out of your ass like you usually do!? Also Frondell might not be that bad of a pick!!
Savoie can play some shifts on a 3rd line , Vanacker can play on a 2nd line possibly ,,,,,,,,Playoff type players have to be added . and this guy is who we should grab :::They should have that coming with Boisvert and Spellacy.
I like Vansaghi, but I can see them writing him off because he's not a quick acceleratorSavoie can play some shifts on a 3rd line , Vanacker can play on a 2nd line possibly ,,,,,,,,Playoff type players have to be added . and this guy is who we should grab :::

One of the 2025 NHL Drafts underrated prospects, Shane Vansaghi has plenty of tools that NHL GMs look for in their young players.thehockeywriters.com
He said they were "high on their list". That doesn't meant those are the only guys they are looking at. He's probably just teasing a future article.source regarding who the front office is interested in?
Scott Powers said Schaefer is their #1, and the forwards they're looking at are Misa, Desnoyers, and Frondell.
He made no mention of Martone or Hagens.
The worst they can pick is 4.He said they were "high on their list". That doesn't meant those are the only guys they are looking at. He's probably just teasing a future article.
I know, but "high on their list" can mean anything. The worst they can pick is 4.
Schaefer and Misa are locks for 1 and 2.
That means they're guaranteed to have at least Desnoyers or Frondell available.
So whatever their list looks like beyond those guys is irrelevant, because they won't need to go that far down.
