Guido is the worst argentinian to play regularly for the NT right now. He’s good at what he does but for the way Scaloni wants to play he sticks out like a sore thumb. Just awful on the ball. The quality in the midfield declines drastically when he’s on.

The more he speaks the more I think he’s retired. It could be just post WC zen and his drive comes back but if he continues like this then after copa it could be all over. Who wants to start a go fund me for my travel expenses June 2024?

HA!

Anyway now that they have played together. I really need a couple of games from Echeverri/Prestianni. Before it’s too late

Last 7 games. Shocked they had gone with a defense first coach. And another Argentine. Though I don’t think the manager is Mexico’s issue. The Liga MX ecosystem and rules are not helping.

Courtois apparantly has left the Belgian NT ahead of the Estonia game. According to Tedesco, after the Austria game he told him he was really disappointed Lukaku was named captain instead of him and he was going home. Even though both are co-captains and because KDB was out, Lukaku was going to be named captain for the first game, Courtois for the 2nd.

Dude is a great goalie, one of the best, but he's basically a child, mentally. It's not the first time he's pulled off this garbage. So many times when there's a NT break and they have to play 2 games, he plays the first game and then suddenly has a mysterious 'injury' and goes home, only to suit up for Madrid the week after like nothing's happened. I think Martinez accepted this because he didn't want to argue, but Tedesco doesn't so now he pulls this crap. I think this won't sit well with players either, Vertonghen has already come out and said he would have never done anything like this. Hopefully Tedesco stands his ground and doesn't call him up again unless there's an apology of some sorts.

It never bothered him to share with KDB before....

In other news, Lahoz is taking ridiculous decisions time and time again, and even DD got mad. Var apparently is sleeping.

Poor Lahoz trying to avoid whistling a penalty at all cost and it took a full foot with cleats to the face for him to give it up.
Frustrating !

And Mbappe missed the pen

EDIT : No red card !

And Lahoz asks for a reshoot because of a greek shooter coming into the box.

Boy that ref....
The reshoot was a good decision, but it came from the VAR not Lahoz. I loved how he wiped the blood off of Griezmann's face, and then proceeded to not give the red card Mavropanos (all tools, no toolbox) deserved.

And now Courtois is saying Tedesco lied...
Perfect.

Yeah just cringe stuff all around. Apparently he now suddenly did have an injury after all, he has his girlfriend tweeting stuff, first a picture in their private jet with a piece of tape on his knee ( ) and then another hilarious post about "True legends never go down" or whatever.
He's marrying his girlfriend next week I believe, why not just be honest instead of pulling this garbage once again.
Tbh his father is the same and has thrown people under the bus as well, even his sister who used to be a professional volleybal player has a history of similar antics.

That’s an embarrassing roster. Can? Like seriously Emre Can is still getting playing time?

Sane???? LOL

Wulf, Rudiger, etc….

IM SO SICK OF HEARING FROM GERMANY SUPPORTERS HOW “just wait we have all this young talent up and coming”…..WELL WHERE IS IT?

I’ve been hearing this literally for over 4 years now. And yet NOTHING has changed. Still the same old garbage players over and over and over. The Ginters and the Sanes and all those other losers. And Flick….don’t even get me started on this current coach. How he still has a job is beyond me.

Germany aren’t one of the top 10 teams in the world, haven’t been for at least 5-6 years, and won’t be again for a very long time. Not until they tear down everything from the youth system on up and completely redo it all over from scratch, it’s going to take at least a decade. That’s how bad it is.

This upcoming European Cup might be the final straw that finally forces the major changes that are required to fix Germany, simply because they’re going to be the hosts and their inevitable early and embarrassing exit will become that much more emphatic. If they make it out of their group with this current roster/coach I’ll be astonished.

Can because there's only one other holding midfielder in the pool and he's never really gotten a shot and the defense isn't good enough to hold without. Kimmich can't do it AND do all the other things they want him to do (and it's not really his strength anyway).
