Still. Based on this season I take Mack over McDavid.
Over all..... a coin toss.

Outside of the Hawks Mackinnon and Kaprizov are my favorite players, Mack a man amongst boys with elite talent, you have to love him.

That being said, McDavid has no rivals

There hasn't been a single season in his caeer where MacKinnon has outpaced McDavid in points per game. McDavid has already passed him this season, and that's despite MacK's 6 empty net points to McDavid's 0.

I agree with al of this but McDavid absolutely has a team, a great team. 2nd best player in hockey over the last 4 years, a PPG 1D, a 50 goal scoring winger, a Selke nomiinated PPG 2C...

They have no excuses not to win

I mean you say this but the Oilers weren't favorites to win against the Stars nor the Panthers for a good reason those teams had much better depth along with comparable stars since they have more than the same 2-3 guys to lean on every game.
