As of right now. I would take Mackinnon over McDavid if I was starting a team and I could only have one of them.

Even with the numbers presented in the opening post, it's a shame people laugh at you. As if different opinions aren't allowed to exist.

What is even the argument for MacKinnon over McDavid?

One has achieved much more in the league. Even last season McDavid posted a playoff run MacKinnon will never match.

Mackinnon is a great player.
Hasn't done much without the once in a lifetime roster around him that he had in 2022 where he finished 4th in team scoring in the SCF, and third on his team in overall scoring.
