I'm fully prepped for us to claim Benning and then watch as he's dressed every game while DG is sent to the press box for the foreseeable future.
Had series of flash backs there and not the good kind

7 games left. 1 point tonight moves us to a four way tie for last and a .375 point percentage. We have 8 games until Thanksgiving. If we aren't in the playoffs by then we will not make them. We currently have a .367 point percentage.

Yeah, it's bad. Welcome to reality.Holy ping pong balls, I just realized we are tied for last with two more games played than the other teams tied for last!
This team is an aircraft engine. It sucks and blows.Yeah, it's bad. Welcome to reality.

Not a bad read. Apparently thinks the guys were trying to be something they weren't, were forcing things too much.
Funny that Costonika gets comments from Trotz. Oh, because he's present unlike our "beat reporter".Predators ‘coming around’ after rough start to season, Trotz says | NHL.com

I don't have any particularly high opinion of Novak or his long-term usefulness to our team. So I'm not against offering him for Malkin. Even with Malkin's age, I'm ok throwing that Hail Mary attempt. With Pittsburgh blowing it up do we go after Malkin? I mean, we're all in, he still has tread on his tires and he fills an immediate need. No clue what a trade looks like and how we fit his salary in but if we have close to $6 million right now, move Novak for him straight up?
Don't disagree about him wanting to go to a contender. On the flip side, how many contenders have the cap space to go after him without blowing up some of their roster? And while we may not be a contender, does adding him up our chances significantly and get more out of our top players? I'd throw Novak and a 1st out there and see what they think.I don't have any particularly high opinion of Novak or his long-term usefulness to our team. So I'm not against offering him for Malkin. However, I think there are a lot of teams around the league who would love to add a top center, and Malkin's pricetag would be A LOT higher. Plus he has an NMC, so if he's willing to leave Pittsburgh at all (which I doubt) then he probably wants to win? So would waive only to go to a real contender?
Sure, but if it requires a 1st on top of that (which I suspect it would) then I'm not interestedI think if Pittsburgh would give Malkin for Novak straight up you have to take it.
Unbelievable!! Get rid of Fabs and then steal from the Ads!!
Of course he does. Undersized defensemen are his thing. If heard from a few people Trotz loves Wilsby so I'm not surprised, just disappointed
