Danault was a nice story at one point. But he's back to his 3rd line ways. He and Lehkonen looked great when given the top 6 ice time. As soon as the vets returned from injury, both disappeared off the face of the earth. Not alone in that either. And Therrien 9 times out of 10 would give the prime minutes to struggling vets like Pleks and Gallagher instead. Eroded their confidence for sure.
Nah. Don't believe. He just decided to address his philosophy he always had as far as the bottom lines are concerned which is to bring in bigger men....just like he had when he decided to bring in Flynn and Mitchell and when he...ah nevermind.
I actually think Danault would do better on a line with gallagher and lehkonen than galchenyuk. He just seems like a guy who plays at the same level anywhere in the lineup.
Brendan Gallagher's lack of skill is really showing. He's not overly fast, he can't really stickhandle, he's not very elusive with the puck, he's not a great puck distributor, and his shot is nothing special either. He's the definition of will over skill and without either, he's not much of an effective hockey player.
