Would have been nice to see Martinsen instead of Mitchell, but whatever!

I like the King-McCarron duo

The PK had to go because people in the room didn't like him, is the stupidest excuse in the world.

That's just bad coaching, management. Those problems could have been addressed easily.

Also, most successful organizations in the world don't jettison top performers to keep their weak performers happy. But, we're not a successful organization and that's probably why

I tend to agree, actually. PK is gone, and hes pretty much fallen off a cliff since '15..

Yea thats not true, PK was on his way to his best year statistically last year before getting hurt.

Name those weak performers that had issues with PK.

I'm not in the room but there's one person on the team with the stature to get rid of PK and that was Price. Price and PK were notoriously good friends; plus Price wasn't even in the room last season after his injury.

PK Subban was the 2nd best player on that core and you choose him 10/10 over anyone not named Price.

Well you have no tangible proof that it is not true. And we will probably never get the real reason why he was traded.

The organization, mainly Therrien, were the ones who didn't like Subban. Watch last years end of season press conference. Therrien specifically mentions of he didn't want to give Galchenyuk tougher matchups because he didn't want to line him up with "Weber" type players. Therrien wanted Shea Weber, Nashville didn't have a need for Subban but the opportunity to get a player like him in just a straight swap for a player who was slowing down was way to good for them.

Exactly. Some of us don't feel the need to kiss the guys feet. Doesn't mean we hate him, we just don't love him or understand him the way that others do.

Great, however you tried to paint it earlier as you guys make up for most of the fan base.

Which is completly untrue. Most people Love PK cant say the same for Price.
Remember when the vast majority of people wanted to keep Halak? Yeah.

Its in the press box that things change. There, absolutly i will give it to you 90% of the people are absolutly in love with Price and dont get the love for Subban.

I dont agree, PK is gone and hes pretty much back on track and will finish the season among top 10 in pts despite missing 16 games.

Hoping the new comers can have a good new start and show some heart for the crest. I just love knowing we're a bit bigger. Hopefully it helps. Should be an interesting game.

People will use whatever mental gymnastics they need to, to avoid facing the real reasons why PK Subban was traded.

Yea it could have very well been Therriens doing, but you dont have any tangible proof other then your assumption.

No one has tangible proof on either side. I was speaking on the hypothetical situation created by people like Marinaro, who said PK being traded was because people in the dressing room didn't like him.

That, in that situation, it's very simple to address. If you have a good management team and coaching team, to support your best players, it's really not hard to get people to fall in line. Especially if you address issues early on. However, there is a lot of smoke about Therrien not liking Subban, Bergevin with the bridge deal speaks volumes, along with the arbitration fiasco, that there was a discrepancy between PK Subban's value and the way Management supported him, or wanted him.

Yeah, I was hoping to see King-McCarron-Martinsen. I cannot wait to play the Bruins, Ottawa or Columbus with those 3.

Just glad Ott isn't playing.

Yea tony did a complete 360 once PK was traded, no doubt about it.

And to your second part I also agree, Therrien most likely disliked PK and told Bergevin to trade him, but I doubt that was what made Bergevin do it.

At the end of the day Bergevin think Weber gives the team a better chance to win then PK did. Which in my eyes is horrible asset management, but at the end of the day Im still a Habs fan first and a PK fan second.

Once it's been made blatantly obvious that the coach or general manager has 0 idea how to build a contender, I will cheer for their spectacular failure until there is legitimate hope.
