Nashville has been sneaky decent this year. Thought they were gonna be just above trash level, but they seem to play a solid system and their top skaters have performed. Saros has actually been kinda bad so far

Moving forward in his last 3 games, he earned a 1st, 2nd and 3rd star of the game. Which brings us to tonight. Glad we are catching him at a low point….

I have Gametime. Is it sketchy with scalpers now that there’s no physical tickets? When I was younger my dad always bought from them and never had any problems
Not sure how it works do they transfer tickets first then you transfer payment or payment first then tickets? I guess if you have cash it’s probably ok. I miss the physical tickets day.

This season has been so weird. The Leafs currently sit at 7-1-2 in their last 10, and yet are 1 point away from slipping out of a wild card spot... and things feel shaky. They just beat Ottawa on the road in regulation but it feels like they were so bad defensively, it broke their rookie goalie. And somehow through it all the happiest I've been about their play was a 4-3 OT loss to Boston last Saturday.
It’s a team with both major strengths and major weaknesses.

The strengths are pretty obvious - the core 4, Rielly and Woll (hopefully not out too long!).

But the weaknesses, so far, have largely cancelled them out, and lead to a kinda mediocre team.

The defence is weak - even to start the year, Rielly is a legit #1 now, but Brodie/Lily/McCabe/Gio is a below average supporting cast, and Klingberg was a complete liability (though probably playing through injury). Then with so many injuries on D, having to have ~3 AHLers there most nights, it’s even worse.

After the D, Reaves and Sammy have been major liabilities too.

I think the best bet for us to become a strong team again is to make some significant trades to improve the D, and of course to get healthy. Not sure I trust Tre to make trades though - he left Calgary in absolute shambles, really wrecked that team, and his first offseason with the Leafs was pretty bad too.

Just got 28 rows off ice for 500 for the pair. Seemed pretty legit the MLSE security guard was talking to us the whole time we were dealing with him and he never asked for the money until the tickets came on my phone. Looked up Ticketmaster prices after and 2 rows in front of us were 450 a piece

Personally, the thing that's been most disappointing is probably the Big 4, and probably Auston Matthews specifically. Overall the Big 4 doesn't feel like its firing on all cylinders and the guy leading the way has the biggest contract in the game and is neither giving us the reliable superstar production (total points matter too) to compete in an Art Ross hunt, and his defense is not exactly Selke level... everything is just kind of "mid."

Nylander and JT have been playing some of their best hockey. I agree Matthews and Marner have been a bit disappointing, compared to what they’re capable of, but they’re still among the reasons we have a decent record despite so many glaring holes as a team.

Need the 411, antics, quotes, something… lol
I just miss Kadri. Unfortunately, his contract is so bad that even full retention I wouldn't want him back here :(

Kinda thought maybe he could end his career here as a 4th liner or something. Can't see that happening with that contract (cap hit)

Happy he got the big bucks though (and not from the Leafs)

Game time not far off, let's throw on my Kadri Jersey :)

I changed my avatar. Is this allowed let me know MODS and I will quickly change it back to my old one. I'm giving the finger here. It's kinda a Johnny Cash type of thing, just wanna make sure this is ok.

I'm admittedly not a Lafferty guy at all from what I saw of him in Toronto... but how likely would it have been for Lafferty to break out offensively in Toronto under Sheldon Keefe the way he has in Vancouver? Outside of Michael Bunting, it's not like anybody thrives offensively.

Don’t really need him on a 20-whatever goal pace like he is in Vancouver, ~30 points, PK time, and safe ES minutes is already outperforming his cap hit.

Hey I'm giving a heads up here! I tricked my mother into taking this picture during our last playoffs...

If it's a no no it's gone I'll change it mods, be merciful please?
I’m getting El Stomp’in Tom vibes from the Horseshoe back in the day………

0% he'd be producing the same way.

He'd have less opportunity and the overall sh% of Vancouver is high which I am sure has benefitted him.

Having said that, he'd likely be our best 4th liner since Kampf has not been good.

He's a good player to have in your bottom 6. Fast, hits, has a mean streak, can score, decent defensively, can PK.
