I'm not sticking up for Gardiner. I'm wondering how you can single him out when we're playing like the worst group of 19 players ever to take up the sport. Yeah, Gardiner is having a rough night. He's a third-pairing defender. Aho's been horrific. He's our first-line center and $8.45 million man. Staal's been horrific. Nino has been horrific. How do we pin this all on a third-pairing defenseman?

Well he is also -2 on the day... He's the one that has stood out as being terrible compared to lots being Bad. He's overpaid we don't see what we expected from him but your right we got alot of money that's not doing shit...

Feel free to criticize him all you want. I'll join you. He's been bad and he needs to be much better. However, the same can be said for the following players:

Jordan Staal
Sebastian Aho
Nino Niederreiter
Ryan Dzingel
Brock McGinn
Lucas Wallmark
Jaccob Slavin
Joel Edmundson

I'm just trying to look at the whole picture and not pin a 3-0 loss on one guy.
