Feel free to criticize him all you want. I'll join you. He's been bad and he needs to be much better. However, the same can be said for the following players:

Jordan Staal
Sebastian Aho
Nino Niederreiter
Ryan Dzingel
Brock McGinn
Lucas Wallmark
Jaccob Slavin
Joel Edmundson

I'm just trying to look at the whole picture and not pin a 3-0 loss on one guy.
Can't disagree with this at all. all our money men are being mostly bad atm.

And honestly, Mrazek has to be better, too. But it's bad form to point this out when your team gets shut out.

Look, just like dumping Faulk didn't fix everything, dumping Gardiner won't fix everything. If we scratch him and go with Fleury/TvR on the third pair, does anyone think this game goes any differently?

Well I think we may have only been down 2 maybe they regain some heart but no much like the Ranjers game....probably no effect. but I still think he needs to sit (at least) one.

You could argue Mrazek making the breakaway save keeps momentum on our side, but I wouldnt put it on him.

At this point we have to realize what Mrazek is, he's not going to steal games very often like the last two Vezina goalies we've faced.

We have to be much better in front of him including Pylon Gardiner and Pylon Edmundson.

It's just hilarious how Gardiner is playing much worse than Faulk ever did here and the Faulk hater is somehow trying to defender Gardiner.

Someone needs to ask Rod what the expectations are for a line composed of Staal, Nino, and Foegele. Given their individual skill sets, what does that trio bring to the ice given that it clearly will never be offensive production.
Definitely, Staal's line deserves a 3rd or 4th line deployment because that's what it is at this point. They shouldn't be playing more than 13 or 14 minutes a night and definitely no powerplay time. Staal was at 19 minutes with 2 minutes of PP time tonight. We're not going to win very often using him like this.

Faulk at his worst still looked like he knew what hockey was at least.

Gardiner is hopeless.

Faulk got a $6.5 million deal in the same off-season that Gardiner had to settle for $4 million. Might just be that he is what he is. I'd rather have De Haan on the 3rd pair personally

Feels like the Canes are going to lose 80% of the games where they play a hot goalie. Mrazek just isn't up to par with a Lundqvist or Rinne on their game.

Something about the Canes has been very predictable. They are telegraphing something that video coaches are picking up on as teams are jumping their mistakes more frequently. Lots of odd rushes against

Oh geez Staal just blamed the crowd for running to the exits in the 3rd. Dial it back dude. While we stayed, give people something to actually watch. It was cringeworthy

Staal is waaaay too milquetoast to throw hate at the crowd. He does nothing to increase the energy. The boo birds were rightfully out on this one, Jordan needs to own up rather than be butt hurt.

Bankrupt man's Williams as far as leadership goes.

Yikes, officially off the Jordan Staal train. Williams would have never said anything like that. I feel bad for ever defending him. He gets paid 6 million dollars to barely score .5 PPG and he looks like he'll be well under that mark this season.

And I thought there were still a decent amount of people there for most of the 3rd anyway.

Umm I didn’t get blame the crowd at all from Staal. He literally said “Rightfully so” right before saying they leaked out like we did or something to that effect.
