Is someone bagging Liles already?????

He's not perfect but he's a ****load better than Gleason. Funny stat. Gleason was on the ice for 2 canes wins this year, Liles? 3 wins. Lol

Who was bagging on Liles? When the poster said "Liles was out there again when they scored", I'm pretty sure he meant that in a positive light (as in Liles was out there when the CANES scored).

EDIT: and after reading the GDT, seeing that play live it sure looked like clear interference on Murphy to me. Maybe years back that wouldn't have been interference, but given how the game is called these days, that looked like a penalty to me. I didn't get the benefit of a replays or slo mo, but have now issue with the ref calling that based on how it looked live.

On the Murphy penalty, from my vantage point, it looked to be a clear hip check with the puck right there. If it was interference, it was extremely tic-tac as the puck was right there. I was pissed because Nashville pulled a guy on a similar play, but more obviously prevented a Cane from getting to the puck.

Not a great game by the team, but the defense looked pretty solid and Khudobin was fantastic. Craig Smith from Nashville was dangerous all night. I want him.

Yes, I said Liles was out there when they scored again. He's been on the ice for the Canes last 7 of 9 goals for.

$6.50 for a huge burrito with whatever you want on it plus bottomless chips and salsa. How do you beat that? Plus they have way more toppings than chipotle or qdoba. Moe's is way better in my opinion. Very fresh and tasty.

Tijuana Flats is better than all of them.

Anton Khudobin said he's glad just to be back playing. Said he was so bored when he was injured that he bought Legos and built a truck.

This is amazing.

After all these years of wistfully envying other teams' lunatic Russian goalies, we finally have one of our own. Bless the Anton.

Tim Gleason had a streak like that in Pee Wee once.

And I didn't think it was a badly-played or sloppy game at all. I think both teams checked very well and there wasn't a lot of space. And I thought the pace was awesome. I actually enjoyed it.

Got the production you need from two of the guys you need it from, khudo made the stops he needed to. Played a solid grinding game against a grinding team and won without our top center. Take the two pts and move on, that's a game we would lose earlier. Nothing worth picking over.

That is the absolute truth... $300 set to build an off–roader. Took him about 8 hours. Congrats guys!

Khudobin played well and while I like his aggressive style, I thought he was overly aggressive.

though Skinner did alright filling in (kind of liked Semin with Skinner and Rutuu actually), this game really highlighted the need for another center. I have no idea how they plan on using Lindholm when he gets back but I don't like the idea of sending him to Charlotte.

Similarly like Murphy, I think he should stay with the big club, given sheltered minutes and put in a position to succeed. to me the guy has a great deal of potential and reminds me of a Kris Letang type defenseman. his size or strength and maybe his somewhat passive nature are obstacles right now but he can be taught defense as he develops. he'll do that best with the Canes IMO. I don't think he has been as big a deficit as some others seem to believe. I'd sooner he be out there than Komi certainly, and Harrison, idk, carry seven D I guess?

starting to like this team again! results like tonight will surely light a fire under 12 and 30's butts!!!

Maybe under 30's but I'm yet to witness anything that get's E-dawg going other than from his own resolve. Of course this about the time every season he get's hot and averages over a point per game.

I'm happy with overaggressive. I'm assuming your referring to the 1 GA when he wasn't even in the crease? Let's be honest though he's a breath of fresh air with his ability to read the play and move from L to R with the quickness.

I would like to weigh in on the Murphy penalty, only to make concessions to both sides of the argument: I think that's a play we see let go *and* called a penalty, often. It's frustrating that the line is so blurred - it's too dependent on whose eyes are upon it - but I think that will always be the case.

he has been over a ppg for almost two months now

Yeah true. He's been playing well for while. I think he's still flying under the radar due to lack of goal scoring maybe? I don't know, just from my vantage. I guess my point was in a typical season he's self motivated and it's normally Dec-Jan when we see it happen.
