I don’t have takes. I have opinions that are based on facts. Give me one example of something I said that was false/crazy, especially about Pionk. I love Pionk, but I criticize him when he’s doing something wrong. And I admit his metrics were pretty bad, but they are getting better. But that’s beside the point.

I live and breathe hockey nearly all day. I do my homework on this stuff. My only problem is that I can’t deal with the most advanced stats, but I can at least tell if someone has good or bad underlying metrics.

All of those guys are either in the Ahl, a lower league than the A, or are similar to Lias where theyre in the NHL and not producing much yet (besides Jokiharju). Lias has done nothing but be good at basically every level but since he isnt flashy enough for you hes a 3rd liner

Are you kidding me? That has to be the craziest (or dumbest) thing I’ve read on here all week. That’s your criteria? That’s how you rate prospects? If they’re in the NHL = good. If they’re not in the NHL = not as good. Damn. Of course “safer” prospects are going to be in the NHL sooner than more risky prospects.

You’re getting extremely defensive about Andersson. I can tell you’re biased in favor of him, and there’s nothing wrong with that, but it’s clouding your judgment. I think it struck a nerve when I mentioned I only see him as a 3rd liner.

Because saying he's a 3rd liner is extremely dumb. My point is saying all these guys are better then Lias when most arent in the league yet is ridiculous, hes 20 you gotta give all these guys (including lias) time before rushing to judgment. Who knows maybe he is only a 3rd liner when its all said and done but to cap him off there is dumb.

Skjei is atrocious. Take your chances with Smith full time at this point. He's losing more weight from the stress of sitting out.

You’re putting words in my mouth. I didn’t say they are better than Lias. Lias is probably better right now, but those guys have more upside, which is why I think the Rangers will regret choosing him instead of some of the others I mentioned. By the way, I forgot to mention in my last response that there are plenty of non-flashy players that I love and think can be great NHL players. And Lias is not one of them. It’s not a knock on him, though. He can still be a good NHL player, no doubt, but the upside to be a top 6 forward is barely there.

And I’m still wondering what I said about Pionk that didn’t make sense to you. I said his metrics are bad. I said that part of the reason for that is because he has Staal as a partner, he was asked to play #1D minutes, and he went up against tough competition. And now that he’s getting better minutes and matchups, he’s doing better in that regard.
