Not great by both Skjei and ADA there.
Worse by Skjei though.

I don’t have takes. I have opinions that are based on facts. Give me one example of something I said that was false/crazy, especially about Pionk. I love Pionk, but I criticize him when he’s doing something wrong. And I admit his metrics were pretty bad, but they are getting better. But that’s beside the point.Again you are seriously underselling Lias, he can be a really good second liner/borderline first liner but well have to agree to disagree. I think your Lias takes are almost as bad as your Pionk ones
Enough blame to go around. Both could have played it better.ADA should have forced the shot there no question.
ADA should NOT have had to make that decision
That was a bad play by Skjei
All of those guys are either in the Ahl, a lower league than the A, or are similar to Lias where theyre in the NHL and not producing much yet (besides Jokiharju). Lias has done nothing but be good at basically every level but since he isnt flashy enough for you hes a 3rd linerThey’re also going to regret not taking Necas, Vilardi, Thomas, Vesalainen, Jokiharju, and arguably 3-5 more players.
Are you kidding me? That has to be the craziest (or dumbest) thing I’ve read on here all week. That’s your criteria? That’s how you rate prospects? If they’re in the NHL = good. If they’re not in the NHL = not as good. Damn. Of course “safer” prospects are going to be in the NHL sooner than more risky prospects. All of those guys are either in the Ahl, a lower league than the A, or are similar to Lias where theyre in the NHL and not producing much yet (besides Jokiharju). “Here you go, I’ll give you the trouble of having to make the zone entry yourself, please accept this puck just inside the blue line for you to accept at full speed while my teammates leave a man open in the back door.”Skjei's decision making with the puck is just laughable. What exactly was he trying to do with a soft ass chip into oncoming Panthers?
I just don't get him sometimes.“Here you go, I’ll give you the trouble of having to make the zone entry yourself, please accept this puck just inside the blue line for you to accept at full speed while my teammates leave a man open in the back door.”
Something like that I think.
Such a brutal play by Skjei. So stupid.
My criticism is directed more towards our FO for choosing him.Can we just let Lias play and learn and not try and put him in a category yet, hes a kid who is learning, hes only going to get better.
Because saying he's a 3rd liner is extremely dumb. My point is saying all these guys are better then Lias when most arent in the league yet is ridiculous, hes 20 you gotta give all these guys (including lias) time before rushing to judgment. Who knows maybe he is only a 3rd liner when its all said and done but to cap him off there is dumb. Are you kidding me? That has to be the craziest (or dumbest) thing I’ve read on here all week. I think it struck a nerve when I mentioned I only see him as a 3rd liner.

You’re putting words in my mouth. I didn’t say they are better than Lias. Lias is probably better right now, but those guys have more upside, which is why I think the Rangers will regret choosing him instead of some of the others I mentioned. By the way, I forgot to mention in my last response that there are plenty of non-flashy players that I love and think can be great NHL players. And Lias is not one of them. It’s not a knock on him, though. He can still be a good NHL player, no doubt, but the upside to be a top 6 forward is barely there.Because saying he's a 3rd liner is extremely dumb.
