Solid logic. If a player is skating towards you, you can crosscheck them in the face. I think that's somewhere in the back of the rulebook.

Why was Bouchard skating towards Myers? It wasn't to give him a peck on the cheek. If you are going to engage somebody, you better engage. Bouchard was clearly trying to draw a penalty.

It's a clever strategy by Myers. The league would have probably tried to fine McDavid if his was the only crosscheck in the game. Instead, if the league wants to suspend Myers, then to appear fair, they have to suspend McDavid.

In my opinion, both should get the 2 games that Matthews got.

This one was predatory by Myers. There's no defense that it was done in the heat of the moment. Tack at least one game onto whatever you give McDavid.

You don't let an attacker come into range raise his arms and stick and not defend yourself. The fact he got his face is worth a fine.

Bouchard obviously doesn't have much experience with fighting should be smarter and stop looking at the refs for protection when you initiated the whole incident.

McDavid deserves the same. Don't think either are suspension worthy

Myers is one of the biggest players in the league. Bouchard wasn't dry humping and holding him like Garland was to McDavid. Myers could've punched or headlocked him without a crosscheck to the grill.

At least partially due to the fact that Canucks fans aren't defending Myers actions by saying that the league is against him and he has to do this stuff just to survive.

Suspend them both 3-4 games.
