Looks like a cross-check. Maybe a game for being a high hit but not sure why Bouchard is skating up to someone after the play to engage away from anything.

Maybe because going up to a faceoff like players do hundreds of times a day.

I mean more generally than saying you are. One thread is saying holding isnt any justification for a cross checked to the head and the other saying he cross checked him in the head because he held Peterson 30 seconds earlier.

We don't know why he crosschecked him. But we do know he will receive a suspension as he should. McDavid will get one as well .

I think the Petersson being held by Bouchard was pointed out as another call the refs missed that would’ve altered the course of events, not as any attempted justification for what Myers did.

Of the two crosschecks at the end of the game, this one was more egregious. It should warrant a bigger suspension, but I doubt it will. Both players likely to miss 2 games.

Seems one game excessive for Myers imo but not an outrageous decision I suppose. Originally seemed like would be a fine it was such a weak cross check but I guess to match Mcdavids crosscheck suspension length this makes sense

Nothing new here to look at just the NHL showing that they don't give a damn about their star players.

Go back in time when Crosby was young and in his prime and people would call him crybaby Crosby for complaining about penalties when in reality they should have actually been calling players against their star players so that they have room to play within the written rules of the game.

Yep, its a strange league. I don't want the NHL to go the direction of the NFL regarding star players, but they should do something.
