A small list is Porcupine Tree, Camel, Mirage, Cornus, DP, Yes, Jethro Tull (who is featured on their upcoming album), ABBA. Along with a lot of Metal bands that have inspired his work. The guy is practically a music encyclopedia.

I'm a Camel fan from way back. Mirage I'm familiar with and of course Tull and Yes.
Starcastle is another interesting listen.
I was into King Crimson, ELP, Yes etc starting as a kid so definitely up my alley. Got into a lot of the early prog stuff.
You should really dig into some Opeth stuff then. Although some of the earlier growly stuff is more difficult to attune your ears to, you might be surprised how many musical references you catch in their stuff. Their last album In Cauda Venenum might be a good place to start if you're opposed to the harsh vocal style. The entire album is clean singing and very proggy. I'll suggest the Swedish version of the album instead of the English version. It might surprise you.

I'll give it a listen. A lof of fans have said based on my listening choices that Tool and bands like Opeth would be stuff I could get into. I've listened to some of Tool. That said I loved the stuff I did when I loved the complexity of musical pieces by acts like ELP. Given the times were in today I've had to kind of adopt my ear to much more simple music, unfortunately, if that makes any sense.
Also its hard to get into some of these if you've been around for the Legends prog if that makes any sense. Not to diminish any that has come later but its harder for subsequent acts to be as innovative. Simply because prog has been done.
Years ago a band like Triumvirat blazed some trails and revisited prog. It was already a revisitation back then, and they did some interesting things adding to the form but its just so long ago.

To clarify if I had been younger and discovering newer prog acts of the time I'd have been more familiar with his work. Seems to know his music well as well as being very accomplished. Nice to see some artists that carried the art along. Especially in this day and age.

Do you watch any of the Robert (Fripp) and Toyah (his wife) Sunday Lunch episodes? They are campy and odd but funny too. They started them during Covid and put one out every week.

I don't mind them. But for decades bands have been trying to be Led Zep. Nobody can be, of course. Imitation is flattery and part of music and Led Zep borrowed. But the bands that borrow from led Zep seem to do it so heavily.
Myself I think Greta sound like the Black Crowes who were an unabashed copy of Led Zep. Something about the singing I don't care for. Lead singer sounds like his nuts were cut off with a dull razor.

I don't think if they had went with their first choice, The Greta Thunberg Quartet, that it would have worked well for them.
Maybe it would have been ok in Sweden though.

I would go to this show. Where were they playing? Oh, Commodore. Not many NA shows. You're lucky to get this one. They could sell much bigger venues for this. Wish they were. Several shows sold out.

I was so mad that day.
Just after a tour when he should have been able to relax with family and enjoy time for himself. When I heard it was an OD from prescips I was furious. I’ve calmed down now (but I'm still a little agitated) as I since learned more about his condition at the time.
One of my all time faves. Saw him 2x. I probably listen to his music every 2-3 days.
Mike Campbell and his band (Dirty Knobs) is currently touring with Lucinda Williams. Would love to see their show.
Went to the Cree last week to catch Testament, Kreator & Posessed.
(Big thrash fan here)
Testament played a set list comprising songs off of their first two albums. First time seeing them and they didn’t disappoint.
Up close and personal:
They were quite enthusiastic and looked like they were having a good time out there.
On another note: Kreator, who I’m not that too familiar with, played a great set. Good musicianship.
The production crew did a great job with the lights and sound for the whole gig, professionals for sure. The soundboards were nice, top of the line equipment, took a peek at the back line incognito…
