Thanks to that one I have a few new suggestions from Youtube saved. This came along and sounds interesting. Of course I've also been listening to Steven Wilson lately so there is that too!

Love Amon Duul !!
Also hard to find. Gotta couple of their LPs and I’m always hunting record shoppes for more!

^^ Fly like an Eagle & Book of Dreams were the only good records my parents had when I was a kid. Back 2 back classics imo even though the old hippies said he (Steve Miller) sold out.

Saw Miller 3 years ago with Peter Frampton as the opening act.

Both were amazing. People talk about so many great guitarists from the 70's without realizing that Frampton was second to none and he demonstrated it on that night. If Clapton is better it isn't by much.

Miller was his usual pouty self but can still bring it with the best of them.

Here's another big Canadian hit from the early 1970's-- it was simply a great straight forward Rock & Roller.

Keith Hampshire looks and sounds like David Clayton Thomas of Blood, Sweat and Tears but of course Keith was never in that band.

Interestingly, apart from looking and sounding like each other, Hampshire and Thomas were both born in England during the 1940's and both eventually emigrated to Toronto with their parents. Hampshire's family also lived for a time in Calgary.

Who is your favorite female singer?

Oh man, that is a tough one. There are many that I like.

Kai is a personal favorite, her voice is as good live as in the studio (fast-forward to 1:20). She's Canadian (from Toronto) with Italian roots. Her grandfather was billionaire Alfredo De Gasperis, founder of Condrain.

I love Ayden as well. Dutch girl with Indonesian roots. Absolutely gorgeous and a great voice.

EDIT: Just realized I posted about Kai without acknowledging that she's the girl in my avatar haha. Needless to say I'm a fan. Here's another one with her.

For me it's Aretha Franklin.

Another long forgotten 2 hit wonder from a Canadian Band in the early 1970's--here is the first of Steel River's hits-- "Mexican Lady."

A straight ahead rock and roll song with straight ahead lyrics-simple but beautiful. A cool chick you might meet on one of those steamy nights.

Southbound Train was their other one--on the train from Parry Sound to Toronto?? Sounds like she might have been very beautiful.
