Every month (for the next year or so) I'm going to post a truck driver song to celebrate all the long distance jockeys who have kept us alive during the pandemic. Here's a classic from the King of jamming gears-- well, in the studio at least--Dave Dudley.

Spoiler alert for politically correct types-- you won't like the song. It's from an era where people were a little more honest about real life.

Thanks everybody.

Where's the punk rockers (i can't be the only one)???? Seems this board is very metal/old school rock or some weird ass s**t

Hands up.

Gotta love the punk renewal going on now, the real punk, not some insipid crap like Greenday or any of the other bastid lame incarnations.Possibly the best thing out of Australia in years. Reminiscent of Punk beginnings. Some crazy talent here. Just when the song seemingly can't get chunkier a killer guitar solo starting at 2:45 Some serious chops, would love to see live.

Which to me evokes the explosive rumble of the Damned's "New Rose"

Plus I just love some girl on a stage dancing worse than I do. lmao.

been paying attention to this act as well;

Starcrawler not just a punk act either or female Marilyn Manson. A lot of depth here and some serious licks. Heres them saving rock, just a great Stones type riff;

Had to happen. Rock, punk back with a vengeance and sending crying mutts like Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran off to the hills. lord, how long would people have listened to crying muppets.

Feels like the music industry has more hope now. Music thats fun again! Its good for ya!

My song o' the month.

I love the Hextalls.....not only do they write whiny punk songs about hockey.....but their lyrics are hilarious. Anyone who makes fun of Axl Rose for having his name on his shoes is a-ok in my books. The end is the best.

Wish Larkin Poe would release this song already. Couldn't be a more appropriate, well timed, fitting release considering all the strife in so many peoples lives and minds recently. I'm personally struggling to hold my own faith in humanity. It has waned greatly.

Wife and I were just watching this the other day. Both of enjoying it and the intro.

You should turn her onto this. It goes by a lot quicker than you'd expect.

I be 2;30 in, some guy in the band and I'm like "What is that even" ? hehe

Weirdest looking band in the world competition. my wife would be whats all that silverware stuck in her face.

I did manage to get my wife to get into Metallica a bit, Led Zep, Smashing Pumpkins (she actually requested Siamese Dream the other day, we're making progress) but this would be right out of her comfort zone.

She sure didn't do well with the newage punk videos I posted up above. She's decidedly against punk in all its forms. To get back at me she listens to Country music.

ps The Swedish girl looks 16, avert your eyes. ;)
