Just going down memory lane again..

Cheap Trick Live at Budokan concerts were a band absolutely on fire. One of the best recorded live albums in history of rock. I feel like they never really got their due. This is some of their back catalog. See if you can pick out how many bands were influenced by this incendiary display, which occurred in 1978, a dozen years before Grunge for instance. But still today bands like Starcrawler, they got their straight ahead influence.

Saw all these tracks when they opened for KISS in the Coliseum in 1979. Specifically remember clock strikes 10 and goodnight and hello there . To this day Hello there and goodnight, bookends, seemed perfect rock n roll openers and closers.

Pretty sure Cheap Trick played a long version of this in Edmonton 77 as well. Just memorizing, takes you on a rock classic ride and preceded some of their bigger hits.

another rock and roll favorite

I saw that too.
Thumbs Mahoney is what I call them

But I’m his defence those fancy, shiny paper sleeves are quite tite…

Some of those paper sleeves need to go. Imagine the prices of vinyl today and they wrap it in the worst sleeve? Why not sandpaper. heh.

Better options exist that actually protect the records.

In todays vinyl market buyers should demand the best sleeves be used. Just costs cents more.

When I was into vinyl I would just take out my best sleeves from albums I didn't listen to anymore and use them for the albums that were my current favorites. Strange that such a range of sleeves always existed in record sales. Some good, some not.

Sandpaper sucks.
I use the mobile fidelity sleeves.
With the silly prices of LP’s nowadays what’s an extra 75 cents.
Usually after I clean the record I’ll re-sleeve it
Even brand new pressings have grit and dust most of the time.

My brother just recently introduced me to Polyphia.

Wouldn't have thought it was my thing, but hot damn am I really digging them lately. The album The Most Wanted is absolutely stellar imo.
