Cher, Tina Turner and … Kate Smith performing a Beatles medley? Who knew.

This song is giving me chills every time. (based on the Dark Tower fantasy series by Stephen King)

Didn't you know you needed one?lol.
I had been using a small guitar processor plugged into my Soundblaster, sounded Ok and plenty loud. But this Marshall amp is something else. New technology and is Bluetootth enabled. If you get the app, all the controls are at your fingertips.

There's hundreds of presets built in, and a whole community of people sharing theirs. It's been keeping me glued to my guitar for hours on end.

There is the classic Love Hurts that has played everywhere but it’s their other songs that I often enjoyed for their edginess.

Hair of the Dog is one of my favorite rock riffs and vocals ever (viewable on YouTube as I can’t post a direct link):

And This Flight Tonight was always a CHOM staple. Unbelievable vocalist:

One of my favorite bands, should have been even bigger than they were, many great rockers. Kentucky Friend Blues, Too Sad Too Bad,my favorite Alcatraz. Plus Vigilante Man! Then the great ballads, Hearts Grown Cold, Moonlight Eyes, too many to mention! Great memories all on LPs cassettes and CDs unfortunately no 8-tracks. A band that Canada definitely got but us lame-ass Statees never appreciated as much! TYPICAL!!!!

Thought with all the guitars you have had over the last two centuries that you already had an amp.
Yup,some modern technology is rather spiffy. When we play,it's acoustic and no need for power except on occasion.

No offense but I wouldn't categorize him as a great singer, definitely unique though and it fit.
Later years he seemed to have more of a Brian Johnson,Axl Rose Udo Dirkschneider thing happening, still fit.

With all due respect, I wasn’t ranking the guy or comparing him. I used “great” as a means of expressing personal appreciation, is all.

If I had compared him to say Ian Gillian, then yeah, you’d have a point. It was just a subjective accolade, not an objective analysis of how he stacked against others in the genre. I liked his voice and found that it gave their songs a unique quality.

Love Hurts, Hair of the dog and This flight tonight provided me with recurring enjoyment over the decades those songs got airplay on FM radio and their lead singer was in large part responsible for making those songs stand out as they did as personal favorites (not comparing them to other songs). Hopefully, I was clearer this time out. :)

Ah! I see, jolly good! I understood it as presented,''great singer'' took it literally.Without expanding on that, could only believe this was a personal opinion.
If someone had said ''Ian Gillan is a great singer'' I'd echo those sentiments.
IF someone says ''KK is a great skater'' I'd take them to task and question their hockey acumen. He isn't,but hey! he's still young, maybe next year.lol

My bad for not adding an extra qualifier.

If, from a comparative perspective, I had to name a modern day great singer doing rock, heavy rock and metal, then my choice would be Dino Jelusick:

Check out how he kills Child in time, in this short excerpt:

McCaffery had a unique growl to his voice, much like Danny Joe Brown from Molly Hatchet. As soon as you heard Dan’s voice and Manny Charltons guitar you knew it was Nazareth! Today’s version of the band is good but without that voice it is just not Nazareth. Much like Foghat without Lonsome Dave and Rod the Bottle, wish they would stop calling themselves Foghat, but the money talks I get it. Same with Grand Funk Railroad. NO FARNER NO FUNK!!!!! There done with my old man rant.

Did you get the opportunity to hear Dino Jelusick? He reminds me a lot of those high octane singers from the 70s.

I’ll have to check him out, still just lately getting into Blue Rodeo! Thanks brother I am behind the times!
You’re welcome. Thx for considering it. I’ve posted two clips of him just a few posts ahead above this one. He’s doing a cover of Jane in one and a short clip where he shows his range, on Child in time. Hoping you like it.
