I have been told that, apparently, Lindsey Stirling is "just bad". These things have been told to me by very fancy musicians with very fancy degrees who say very fancy words that don't matter one whit to me. :P

Their criticism notwithstanding, this song is a staple on my "Original Gambler" playlist, not just for the title (hint: a 'roundtable' is a card table here) but for its obvious Old West themes.

It is f***ing beautiful, and when I play in serious poker competitions, it's at the front of my "20 minute break hype playlist" to keep me psyched :)

Yeah this is basically "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" for a new generation.

... would help if I included a link to the song, huh?

Anyone ever see or hear of this band? I believe they are local.

Saw them at Times Change(d) last weekend. They are fantastic, especially if you like music with an actual horn section. Don't see that very much.

So sad reading all the takes on what has gone wrong with this dear old hockey team of ours…figured why not get some “feel good” by heading over to the Music Thread and see what folks have been listening to. Lots of goodness in here!

I always say I never come home after a concert pissed off…many a Jet game I have!

On that note, great show happening tomorrow night at Club Regent, $50ish tickets. Matt Andersen & the Big Bottle of Joy. Do it!

So I'm in line to get tickets to the HUGE concert in California, AC/DC, GnR, Ozzy , Iron Maiden , Tool and Metallica . Talk about music through the mist of time.

I was at AC/DC last time they were here at the old stadium, row 20. Amazing show, top five that I've been to for sure. Blows me away how they played that entire set like they were at a packed Wembly Stadium instead of some Canadian prarie shithole on a Tuesday night or whatever. They f***ing brought it

Also saw GnR when they hit IG Field, enjoyed it more for the closure than anything (also caught the shitshow at the old Arena back in the day)

That should be a great time

Listening to this song a lot. I confess I still can't help but titter a bit at the notion that a flying ping-pong ball to the head could render someone literally dead on the scene (before being revived) but it's got a nice, mellow, electronic-esque beat

The Jets beat the AHL Preds...

But... but...

I look in the mirror.... click my heels...

I want this as one of the tunes at My funeral...

It explains... Me...

My Dad would have loved this...

He was a Trumpet... Sax... Xylophone... and later in life a Flugel Horn player...

And Jazz singer... My Mother fell in love with...

The mature Radiohead nails it with this studio legend...
