Well the poster on another forum said it could be a 3-year deal in which case it would work out to $200 per game. Guess we will see what happens with the off season renovations first.
I know I'm an old fart but holy smokes $200 for a game is nuts! Jets vs Yotes in January for $200 😱

I saw the Jets vs. Coyotes twice last season. I bought tickets for one game on gametime at about $33 each for the upper bowl, and the other tickets for the lower bowl were given to me gratis by an associate.

So it worked out to $66 for 4 tickets to see the Jets vs. Coyotes, which is roughly what those games were worth. I couldn't imagine spending a total of $800 for 4 premium seats instead.

I found out on another forum that 3 suites will be removed from the area above the Bud Lounge and replaced with loge booths which will cost $108,000 for 4 seats for a 3 or 4 year term.

What's the difference between a suite and a loge booth?

Double decker trough?

I don't care what anybody says, I'm not using the short guy's trough.

They need to find a way to fix the bathroom situation. I don't care how they do it. Dig down. Dig up. Dig out. More bathrooms.

Just don't go between periods. You miss more of the game waiting in lines, either for beer or to recycle beer, than if you go mid period.

Probably similar to the loges that exist in the 300 level but with some sort of partition/half wall separating the tables from each other.

2 up, 2 down. Table service. Roomy seats.
But what all is in a suite, besides just x seats? Would these loge boxes increase or decrease seating capacity?

Not sure. I would think it would at least stay the same if not increase the number of suites. I think the 3 suites that are supposedly being replaced had 16 seats each
If the seating capacity stays the same or anywhere near the same there is no way in hell this happens. Why would they take a suite where they’re getting $400 a ticket in revenue to set up a Loge to get $200 in revenue? Even if you can double the amount of loge seats in that area, then it’s a wash. Where exactly is the business model for this? Not happening.

Maybe they are having trouble selling those suites and feel the loge seats will be easier to sell.

It could be that businesses would rather have a smaller semi-private space like a loge that they can pay for as opposed to splitting the cost of a larger suite with one or more other businesses.

I am here for a healing helping of humble pie. It turns out this this information is in fact true! They will be converting the 200’s in the Bud Lounge along with the suites in behind into premium seating area. It will include food and beverages as well as theatre style seats. It will in fact cost over 100K for 4 seats for each season on a contract!

If they can pull off selling all these seats at this price I will be beyond impressed!

You were bang on with this. This is what seems to be the ideology behind this.

Seems like that is a blueprint more and more teams are taking with regards to business clientele. Will be interesting to see how it looks when done.

Doesn't Vancouver have a ring of suites at the very top of their rink?

Judging by that and by all the teams that get away with charging top dollar for front row "glass" seats, I'd say that what matters more than the view when it comes to private suites is exclusivity.
Good point. I've been in suites and the game is absolutely not the focus of a lot of people there.

Ottawa does for sure. 3 rings of suites: top of the 100 level, top of the 200 level and top of the 300 level.

This was a mistake with the original building IMO: the biggest employer in the city is the federal government, who can't buy suites. The tech crash in the early 2000's hurt their suite sales quite a more shortly after the building first opened.

Recent years have seen them switch a lot of the 200 and 300 level ones at the ends out for "lounge" type seating (think the Bud Lounge kind of thing). They also have a lot that are single night rentals.

They've had to adapt to cater to smaller corporate clients. I don't think there are too many corporations in either city that can afford large 100-level seats for full seasons.

Ya, I don't mind it up there. I'd say the view isn't bad.
