Gally is perfect where he is. Habs has no cap issues until his contract his done and we need his leadership in the meantime

Gally and Anderson on the other hand is a difficult situation, but they are still decent playoff players.

No, Gally Needs to stay. Heart and Soul! Matheson is a "grown up" and his leadserhip is welcome. Also, Anderson and Dvorak are being given an opportunity to grow as players. Let's let them have this and then decide this off season!
But, I agree in general all will and need to go sooner than later, But who replaces Gally. Evans is still young but a good Locker Room Guy!
Sure, let’s just ice a team with 80% of the players 22 and under. What could go wrong.

Nobody wants Gallagher that being said hes actually playing good this season and works hard every shift unlike 95% of our team at 50% im sure some teams would be interested but not for much we’re better off just keeping him

I don't get the rationale of this other than "send Vancouver guy home" and forwards are the least of our concerns. Now, if we wanna talk Guhle or Matheson, that's more inline with our needs.

A 4th ain't enough to accept to retain 3.25M for 3 more years
I think that Gallagher at 3.25M a year is good for Vancouver: that's a solid cap hit for a 3rd Line dude that Play that hard with solid leadership. A 4th is basically nothing.

It's a rebuild, that should be part of the plan. Is there a position lower than last?
If you’re year 3 in your rebuild while having 3-4 key pieces (top 6 F and top 4 D) when you started and still finish dead last then yeah, there are better positions to be in than that.
It’s not because Ottawa was garbage for nearly a decade that every team should follow their path.
That's an expensive price to pay for a 4th. rounder from a team that already has nine picks in the first four rounds of the '25 draft and doesn't need the cap space . Question is , why ?
