Vlasic is an elite defensive defenseman. No debating that. But Galchenyuk is top-10 in the NHL for points, Sergachev is Montreal's blue-chip prospect and both are significantly younger. Its a g-d awful proposal for Montreal too.

I agree. SJ wouldn't want to trade Vlasic and Montreal wouldn't want to trade the young 1C they finally have.

Wingels + Martin + 2nd for Weber is the equivalent to Plekanec + Beaulieu + 2nd for Vlasic. So it's silly for a Montreal poster to suggest such an offer

As for this proposal, I would consider it...I really don't like Boedker's contract, and he's a bad fit for this team. Plekanec as 3C wouldn't be the best idea because of how much he makes, but that does free up Hertl to go back to 1LW. Also, the Sharks don't have a 2nd round pick in 2018, but Boedker + a 4th round pick for Plekanec + 5th sounds fair-ish to me.

I'm gonna say no. I'd prefer to wait and see with Boedker and if he doesn't fit, see what happens in the off-season with Vegas. If they don't take him, look for a trade. He has a lot of the skills the Sharks can really use and I'm willing to use the whole season and not just 20 games to see if he can fit somewhere. Sharks can't afford Boedker for Plekanec anyway.

Regardless of the fact that our GM would never offer the aforementioned package, how can you be so biased as to not acknowledge that trade as being overwhelmingly in the Sharks favour...? I can't imagine your fellow fans feel the same, regardless of whether you have Jones in net...

If your team offered the Habs a Hertl-Vlasic-Goldobin package for Gallagher or something, I'd happily acknowledge that the terms are heavily skewed. What precludes you from being able to do the same?
