12 point in the last 20 games. 5 game point streak. All while averaging ~14 minutes of ice time a game.
Watch some Ranger games before you run your mouth - I'm not addressing anyone specifically here.
and yeah, if you were yapping back in January December, sure he was struggling but usually every rookie gets the sophmore slump pass. You don't have to have a lights out rookie year to have a sophmore slump.

We'll keep him. I'd trade him for Shane Wright but that's a ludicrous statement. GMJG is not that dumb. Oh sorry, it's EVPHOJG now. Man, that just doesn't have the same rhythm as GMJG. nor the nice bookend Gs.
Going to be honest with you I understood the top half of your comment but the bottom half I have no idea what the hell you are trying to say.

As for this trade its dumb because when has a top 3 pick ever been traded let alone a 1st overall? The Habs will keep whatever pick they get and the Rangers can keep Laff end this dumb thread already.

was it the acronyms? 🤣
GMJG is what Ranger fans called General Manager Jeff Gorton.
But he is now the Executive Vice President of Hockey Operations Jeff Gorton. you see? EVPHOJG just doesn't roll off the tongue like GMJG.
we like Laf. Anyone trading Shane Wright for Laf should lose their job though.

I think the Op is on to something but his price is too high.

First off they're hosting the draft so trading that pick is a PR disaster.

Montreal has a ton of other picks. At this point a late first+ or something could make sense.

If they are hosting and the Rangers go on stage for the pick, believe me the Montreal crowd would errupt in joy. Hometown heroes trumps first picks, I guess. lol

But even though I want the Habs to get Lafreniere badly, the Habs as an organization have to take that pick. They are not finishing last to trade it. Unless they get offered Draisatl.

This fan would not love to have Laf. Not interested in spending the capital to acquire.

See above. I would like to see a poll, perhaps on the Habs board if not already done, to gauge how many Habs fans actually would want him.

This site does not constitute the majority of Habs fans. Who are in the millions. Ask any person in random the street and they would say yes.

A random person on the street has a heavy chance of being a bandwaggon fan that still thinks that Price is playing right now and calling him bad at La Cage au Sport while Monty let in his 7th GA.

Most of our board can speak french and are actually from Quebec.

Would Ginette love to see un petit gars de chez nous to pop on some McDonalds ads while shes watching District31? Sure.
Would the average fan that knows hockey love this move? Not a chance.

You're right. The Canadiens are a global brand, with millions and millions of fans spread all over it. I know fans across multiple boards and borders. I can't say there's one clamoring to acquire Lafreniere. I won't go so far as to say he's a bust, but I'm certainly not giving up a top 3 pick for him. I wouldn't give up a lottery pick that ends up being the 15th for him right now.
