Gallagher's only redeeming quality these playoffs is his ability to get the crap knocked out of him and then get right back up to get the crap knocked out of him again. Huge heart - yes. Talent- not so much. How many times does he need to be set up before he buries one? When he gets the puck on a rush he puts his head down and chips it in. His passes are down right terrible. But man he his great at taking a beating.
He's the last person to even mention.

He's all heart. I love the kid.

Montréal has to be the one of the ugliest team to Watch play hockey. Amongst the worst in the whole NHL...and SURELY the worst of the teams present in the playoffs.

Agreed
When you watch other nhl game you notice right away that Habs dont have any offensive creativity/imagination

I know I shouldn't crap on the guy because he is all effort but Gallagher outside of getting in front of the goalies face and scrambling for rebounds is utter crap. When he has the puck in the neutral zone it is automatic dead play.

Pacioretty - Galchenyuk - RW1
LW2 - Plekanec - Gallagher

These are the spots to fill this summer. And with actual good players. All the rest goes to the bottom two lines.

How nice would it have been if our 3rd overall stud actually developed as one and took over a game once every, say, 45 games.

We'll never win the cup with Pacioretty and Desharnais on the first line. Never.

Look at the cup winners, they all had an amazing center OR an amazing duo stepping up in the playoffs :

Getzlaf and Perry
Kopitar/Carter and Williams
Kane and Toews
Malkin and Crosby
Zetterberg and Datsyuk
Eric Staal
St. Louis

etc... and that's only the cup winners. Bunch of other teams had an amazing center/winger.

This is depressing.
Kovalchuk literally was carrying to Devils to the Cup finals on a bad back. That is grit and character right there.

And those two may be the hardest holes to fill. Not many teams looking to give up top-6 forwards.

We can only hope Mccarron and Sherbak are the real deal, we'll need them as soon as possible.
