No one is mad about the pick. It's that it's a Steve Ott. If the 6th was for like Tom Pyatt then people wouldn't be mad except for the fact that have 37 bottom 6 forwards.

It's cheap depth. We have 4 NHL centerman right now with Desharnais gone. We need depth going in the playoffs. It's just common sense. If they split Ott for gritty games and Mitchell for fast paced game, it's perfect that way. Plus if one on our 4th line guy gets injured we actually have a veteran to come take his place. It's so simple to understand this trade..

I could see the top 5 teams getting Ott as insurance for the playoffs.

We have 3 top 6 players right now and 13 bottom 6 forwards.

That's big time cup contenders for you, no doubt about it.
