yea you keep saying that without explaining why. They have the cap room with tons more coming soon. They have more pics and prospects than they know what to do with. There is a clear need to upgrade the winger spot on the 2nd line. Why doesn't it make sense now?

Here's why. Giving up . two 1sts, two 2nd and Matheson for 1 yr of Necas is totally ridiculous. If that isn't enough of a reason than i don't know what else to say.

100% agree. I would add that it would be so incredibly stupid that Hughes would be investigated for tampering.

Perhaps read my other posts. I didn't mean him specifically, I meant getting a winger because a 2C is too expensive right now isn't necessarily a bad idea.

I also didn't mention I wanted this deal anyways.

They need to reserve the caproom for team needs. Unless you spend on a winger with expiring contract.

Also they have too many wingers as is:

Slaf
Caufiels
Newhook/Dach (one will be a winger)
Laine
Demidov
JoshA
Gally
Heins

We don’t need another winger unless by trade with a winger going the other way.

Slaf and Caufield are 1st liners. The others are 3rd liners at best except for Demidov.

I am sure they have made the calls and check on the cost for available renters.Since we know lots of teams are after a 2C, Maybe the cost is too high. It might be wise to add a strong winger for the 2nd line and worry about a 2c at the deadline or next summer.

Yeah. Let's just spend assets and Cap space for someone we don't urgently need. Just how fricking expensive are 2C's in the NHL right now if 1yr of a RW costs us 2 1st's, 2 2nd's and Matheson? Some Habs fans out here just wanna trade for trades' sake.

I never said this was a good deal and I never even said Necas was a winger I wanted. I said if the costs of getting s centre is too steep right now getting a winger to play with Demidov isn't a bad idea.

I cant believe you think getting a talented winger to play with Demidov is not a need. Its probably not the main need but like I tried to explain several times, If the cost for a 2C is too high then move onto the next need or the one after that.

As for the Surplus of wingers, Laine will be gone by the deadline and Dach will be broken by November. Then you will be here desperate for a winger......

Nothing you say makes sense. Habs don’t need a winger for Demidov. Habs need a 2C and top 4 veteran RHD. Winger is the last thing the Habs need.

There are now 4 x Habs fans who have told you the same thing. Yet you double down on stupidity….
