That's common knowledge.Montreal going to win the cup before Toronto does?
Yes and maybe next season slotting in Ivan Demidov on the other side. They already have Cole Canfield who has been a good fit with Suzuki and Slaf. I think Laine will be on the second line with Kirby Dach as his centre.
Only in hindsight lol.Halak was a number 1 goalie for a while.
Ryder was had some 30 goal seasons.
I believe that 2nd ended up being Subban.
The only person who couldn't get value out of this would have been Bergevin.
That implies Toronto wins a cup at some point ...Montreal going to win the cup before Toronto does?
What is it with the Habs and getting Jets sloppy seconds.

You forgot.............Bergevin works for LA now.Now Montreal can finally acquire Pierre-Luc Dubois by flipping Laine to the Capitals in exchange for the douchebag.
That's about 15 mil in total i thinkYes we’re very comfortable. Specially with Dvorak, Armia and Savard done at the end of the year and the ~3.5M we have retaining on Petry and Allen
Jets gave a 1st round pick to Montreal for Monahan, so I guess it goes both ways...What is it with the Habs and getting Jets sloppy seconds.
I can.We didn't retain. I get it.
Can't see him handling Montreal great but good luck to him.
He was dumped for free. They gave us a 2nd for Harris.
His 10 team ntcI'm absolutely baffled that teams like San Jose, Anaheim, Utah to name a few were not willing to take on a bet like this. If you are a team that is just trying to get into the playoffs at max, this is not really a risk with a two year term.
I get it that no contender would be willing to do it for a full caphit (nor could they in most cases), but teams in the bottom tier of the NHL, why the f*** not?
Personally, i'm a fan of the fact that we will continue to live rent-free in your mind.Best part of this trade is future Habs fan cope and seethe on the boards.
His father is dead…Let's not forget, Laine's father is a Habs scout. (Inside Habs Draft 2023). That might be beneficial for him? #GoHabsGo
