MTL fans bash the Leafs depth but build their team through the waiver wire. Montreal Misfits.

Like last year when we acquired a former leaf that cleared waivers to play in our top 6 next to Tavares and nylander? No, wait... that was the leafs that got a former hab who just cleared waivers to play top 6...

Was hoping Leafs waived this guy, feel like he's a NHLer. Maybe not more than a 4th liner but he deserves to be in NHL.

I think you're lost. Trade =/= waivers. Can't remember the last player TOR has taken from waivers.

Bergevin loves his waiver wire. Enjoy your leftovers that 3/4 of the league passed on.
I mean you can chirp all you want did you see our team on paper last year? Looked like an Ahl team and still made the finals , so who's really laughing lol other teams should be embarrassed they lost to us to be honnest

"Cleared waivers" which is worse than being claimed on waivers, because it means literally no one wanted them.

Carolina aquired galchenyuk, waived him, he cleared, then he was traded to Toronto the same day for some ahl bodies.

I'd rather have a waiver claim on the 4th line than a guy who cleared playing in the top 6.

I'm happy about it based on stats and Leafs fans reactions. Looks like a solid pickup. Poehling just lost his place on the team, have fun in Laval Ryan with that big hermes chain and cross and see you soon when there are injuries.

He’s a quality 13th forward, who could easily become a quality 4th liner. Small, but works hard, pretty decent defensively and has some skill. I think Habs fans will like him.

when I watched him with the Marlies, he was the guy you never noticed on the ice but still somehow put up some decent numbers. good player

Bergevin trying to figure out C depth by committee. It’s game of thrones after Suzuki, Dvorak and Evans

Too bad, he had some great chemistry with Spezza last season. Thought he had a decent camp but so did a lot of our fringe NHL/AHL guys, so he didn't really force his way on the roster. Still, Keefe has always been high on him and he's got a history with the organisation, so this was a surprise. I wonder if there was a request from his side to get a chance elsewhere if he was going to be sitting in the press box.

Guaranteed hat trick against Toronto on Wednesday. Wish him luck (but maybe not that much).

Leafs don't want him, he can't make their team,

But he will be in the starting lineup for Montreal,

That speaks volumes about the two teams, Lol
