Which goalie do you think played better. Forsberg or Mrazek?

It's crazy how the second best goalie in the game always plays great isn't it?

Mrazek was the third best goalie in the game yesterday with his .885 save percentage
Forsburg clearly. Is there someone who thinks otherwise? Mrazek was fantastic I'm the second period though.

Not sure anyone can say Mrazak played poorly.
Kicked in goal, double doinker of some bodies.

A couple 5 bell saves in the second period. Solid performance.

Significant injury history begets future injuries in pro athletes.

That's how I accurately predicted this one and "saw it coming".

It's not exactly rocket science I'll admit, but I guess we shouldn't expect much from the current GM.
No you didn't. In fact, the poster capfur was more accurate than you, but still didn't see it coming.

No, I saw it coming. Months ago when he first signed. Check my post I linked.

I said the goalie is made of glass and he got injured game one.

If that's not "seeing it coming" then what is?

I'm sure you'll try to come up with something though.

Too bad the dumb GM we have running this team couldn't see what an HFboards poster could, huh?

$3.8M for an oft-injured backup goalie is the very opposite of what a team with three $11 million forwards needs.

I don't get it - we go from one bandaid goalie to another and I highly doubt management is comfortable with Hutchinson needing to be relied on. And our starting goalie is yet another bandaid too.

Lol? Sure buddy.

There is some inherent risk when your #1 and starting goalie Campbell has never started more than 25 games in a NHL season, and that is due in part to his past injury history.

A reliable #2 goalie then is essential for this plan to work as a tandem. Marzek due to his injuries only played in 12 games last season.

This season for the Leafs is going to rely heavily on how this plays out. Lets cross our fingers and hope for the best because I don't think any Leaf fan wants to see Hutchinson carry the load and responsibility for Leafs success.

Is it just me or do most Czech players seem injury prone?

It's hilarious how Hutch is the one who stays healthy. But the Leafs' really good goalies? Nope, never.

yes, jaromir jagr can never stay healthy. he keeps this up and his career’s gonna be short.

Getting mrazek was a dumb idea because of his injury history. He didn’t even last a full game, and your starter is also injury prone. GM dubie strikes again!

He's always been a bit of a bandaid, factor in question marks surrounding whether Campbell can play a full season and this is what we're left with.

I didn't like the signing at the time, too long for too inconsistent of a goalie. Just one of the many "what ifs" surrounding this team this season.

Not sure. He was out most of last year with a thumb injury.

Mrazek out indefinitely for Hurricanes after thumb surgery

And in 2020, he had some issues including the concussion in the David Ayres game.

I think he might just be made out of whatever Joffrey Lupul is made out of.
So hopefully it's not too bad. I'd be worried if he had repeated groin injuries.

Who was the goalie that made fun of/got pissed at any goalie that had a groin injury? He said that they were lazy and just didn't stretch enough lol
