Saw Furiosa a couple nights ago. It was fun at times but lacked the punch of Fury Road. Anya Taylor Joy is fine in the role but isn’t tasked with doing much. I wasn’t sure how Chris Hemsworth would be as the eccentric villain but he steals the show. If he had a better protagonist opposite him I think the whole thing would have come together much better. ATJ was not to blame, the character was just kind of ho hum. Rictus, being a huge beast in Fury Road looks old and out of shape here, which was hard to get over. The Praetorian Jack character has potential though. I wouldn’t hate a backstory on him.

While i was entertained by the movie i was underwhelmed by the finale. There’s a really good road war sequence around half way, maybe 2/3 in, so i expected the finale to kick it up a notch. It doesn’t. It ends with a whimper at best.

Thoughts on Nosferatu?
I liked it but not as much as the Witch or Lighthouse. I would put it 3rd above the Northman from Eggers. Glad I got to see it in the theaters though. Wish I could have seen the other two on the big screen. Eggers is my favorite

On another note, I am finally reading the Godfather book. I have probably wanted Part 1 20 times and am learning so much of the why things happen. Love it, should have read it sooner.

I just watched Flow. It was cute, and visually captivating considering there are no people nor dialogue in the entire movie. I'm sure there's some artsy bigger meaning to the film, but that's beyond me. It was a nice story of animals working together in the end.

Or did he? Are we sure it's not a Lynchian plot twist?
He’s not dead, but he’s actually now Bill Pullman.

Sad day for this movie-lover. I’ve gone back-and-forth on much of his filmography over the years, but he was a true artist and one of the few filmmakers who made movies only he could make. A unique cinematic language.

There was no one like David Lynch. And there will never be another one like him.

He's irreplaceable. And this is a huge loss.

I'm gonna watch Twin Peaks and find a log to hug because I'm truly sad about this.

I don’t know if there is a TV thread so forgive me, but I recently finished both seasons of Squid Game and was surprised at how good it actually was.

Would recommend to anyone, just watch with subtitles. The dubs are not great.
