Anyone here ever see the movie True Romance? I've been meaning to give it a watch.
Yep. I've seen it a couple of times. The Christian Slater-Patricia Arquette relationship is a little tedious, but Dennis Hopper has a great scene with Christopher Walken, and the ending is pretty wild.

Its got kind of a Tarantino vibe...I think he might have been one of the writers or producers.

Yup, Tarantino wrote it. It's the script he sold to fund the making of Reservoir Dogs

I would hope so, considering he was the script writer and, like Rocco said, sold it to make his first movie Reservoir Dogs.

Also looking at the cast for that film...Jesus what a star studded lineup.

needed some easy laughs and caught Ricky Stanicky on Prime, loved it, sure, stupid comedy but I found it hilarious...that said, I`m an easy laugh

I finally watched Argylle. I haven't gotten this mad at a movie in a long time. How many f***ing movies are you trying to be at the same time? It was like the Conspiracy Theories episode of Community in a movie with the double crosses of double crosses, but doing it unironically.

And it went on a good 45 minutes too long.

Gonna try to get to Late Night with the Devil tomorrow night. Looks very original, has gotten great reviews from what I’ve seen.

The horror genre has been kinda rejuvenated the last few years imo…some truly excellent movies have come out

Truly a genius movie. Never seen anything quite like it. In particular Ingrid Torelli did a phenomenal job in her role- she’s 17 and has a bright future. David Dastmalchian was great as the lead.

Definitely a horror movie but it didn’t really have a horror ambiance/vibe to it. Been seeing that a lot in recent years with movies like Midsommar. This film also had some comedy moments. I personally got this in my top 5 favorite horror movies ever and honestly it might be in my top 10/15 movies ever regardless of genre. Shoutout to the Cairnes Brothers who wrote + directed. They’ll be getting some money thrown at them to develop more stuff after this.

General premise is that it’s found footage of a Halloween episode of a 1977 late night tv talk show trying to compete with Carson for ratings. Biggest theme imo is that greed kills lol

Love Lies Bleeding directed by Rose Glass

What a wild movie-it is set in 1989. First half was more or less a softcore porn and the second half was a wild thriller. Some comedy moments scattered throughout. Dave Franco is so good at playing a douche. It also stars Kristen Stewart and Katy O’Brian as the leads, they were great…as was Ed Harris, as he always is. Ending is a bit ridiculous but also darkly funny. Would definitely recommend. Not usually the kind of movie I’d check out but got dragged there by my roommate and did end up enjoying it

8.3/10

So what was it that kept you from giving the movie an 8.4?

The Strangers Chapter One is a pile of dogshit, 2.8/10

Ezra is sweet and mildly funny. 6.6/10. Hollywood finally gets it right portraying autism.

Seriously. One of the worst things I’ve ever watched. Head shoved so far up its own ass. Awful. AWFUL movie.

Watched Unfrosted the other night. Not going to win any awards but some funny scenes.
Hugh Grant was great. Total homage to 60s/70s kid life.

Will check. Thanks. Uneven reviews, yet Seinfeld is a comic's comic. Swiss watch.

As I never tire of dope-splaining, enjoyed him on Carson and viewed The Seinfeld Chronicles as a summer replacement series in '89. Title changed as The Marshall Chronicles aired simultaneously.
