Movies: Movie franchises that you've seen none of

Harry Potter and Twilight would be the biggest franchises I've never seen a movie from...

Of the list of 67, only have seen films of about 25.

It`s not a franchise but impressed how many films there have been about Abraham Lincoln.

Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings.

I love comics (spider man is my fave) people think because I’m a nerd I would like that stuff. Nope. I guess I saw the first potter. Hated it. Never seen any of them since lol.

Of the 67 listed in the Wikipedia article, I've only missed the Conjuring and some of the children's films (which I imagine I will catch being a new Dad).

Other ones mentioned that I've missed are usually in the horror genre (Saw, etc.)

Fast and Furious - I have thought about starting it, but with so many films I ask myself what is the point
The Godfather - I may see these films eventually
The Hobbit trilogy - I wasn't a fan of Lord of the Rings as a whole, and I kept seeing people say that the Hobbit trilogy was worse

Lol the only series from the Wikipedia list I haven't seen at least one of is Secret Life of Pets.

Generally though I haven't seen a single Police Academy movie. That one sticks out to me.

Fast and Furious - I have thought about starting it, but with so many films I ask myself what is the point

I haven't seen any of them, either, but I'd say that the point would be to learn if we've been missing out. If we actually like the first one, then we're in luck because we have 8 more to enjoy. If we don't, then we can simply stop there with our curiosity having been satisfied. I've done that with a few franchises, notably X-Men. I hadn't seen any of the movies until a few years ago, so I watched the first one. I didn't like it and didn't bother with the rest, but at least I learned that they weren't my thing and I stopped wondering if I was missing out. Knowing what you don't like can be as useful as knowing what you do.

Going through the Wikipedia List, these are the series that I have watched one movie from that series in whole:

Marvel Cinematic Universe (Iron Man)
Batman (The Dark Night)
Spiderman (Spiderman (2002))
Jurassic Park (Jurassic Park & Jurassic Park 2)
Middle Earth (Fellowship of the Ring & The Two Towers)
Shrek (Shrek & Shrek 2)
Toy Story (Toy Story 1, 2 & 3)
Lion King (Lion King)
Finding Nemo (Finding Nemo & Finding Dory)
Jumanji (Jumanji)
Ice Age (Ice Age & Ice Age 2)
Men In Black (Men In Black)

Haven't seen the rest.

According to some sources Abraham Lincoln is the second most written about person in the history, only Jesus Christ has more.

I have heard the same claim about Caesar, Stalin, and Napoleon. Now I am curious!

I know for fact it’s not Stalin, but i’ve also seen Muhammed Ali mentioned in the same category, i’d honestly guess Abe is the one with most because he and Jesus are only ones that are included on every listing lol

Pokemon (didn't know they existed).
Bourne Movies
Twlight

I have seen just the first F&F, but nothing after that.

LOTR was okay, too long for my liking.

SW I have seen roughly 200 times I'd guess. (mix between all the films).

Who's the most significant historical figure?

Napoleon felt right to me because he was around a while before Abe an was significant across more world's than just the Anglophone one. Who knows.

To put a slightly finer point on it, Lincoln was a HUGE media figure in the United States (and to some extent beyond) until probably 1920 or 1930. It’s really hard to exaggerate just how much of a presence he had in popular media, which at that time meant that pretty much any literate person read about him and any illiterate person had his picture somewhere in their house (unless they were unrepentant rebels, in which case they put just as much energy into writing negative things about him). This peaked in the late 1800s when it was perfectly normal for a newspaper to run a series of columns about the Life of Lincoln just for the hell of it. The modern equivalent in American media would be if you took Kennedy and MLK, and combined them. There is no single indivdual who comes close.

This largely died off when we got ~70 years removed from his death, and he was no longer a figure from living memory. Still, the large amount of Lincoln in modern American media shows that the cultural momentum is still not entirely burnt out yet.

I love franchises. When I get into a story and character, I like to see them continue. Investing my time and energy to meet new characters just to have it end in 90minutes...not fun for me. Which is why I enjoy tv series more than movies lately. So....i've seen a ton of the franchises out there, and love that they keep doing more and more movies.

In fact for the longest time I couldn't understand why they didn't make more Star War movies - and I'm not even much of a fan. But gigantic success, huge fanbase....it's just common sense, keep going?

From the Wikepedia link posted in OP - I've watched at least 1 movie (and often, all of them) in the top 40 listed by gross $$. The first one I never saw is Conjuring.

If you go by movie count, here are the ones I never watched any of:

Madea (then again, I think it's possible I saw one, not sure if it was in that series though)
Conjuring
Alvin and the Chipmunks
Lego

Also never saw Pokemon.

Never saw any of the Hunger Games movies. Seems like a boring concept to me.

Harry Potter
Hungergames
Star Wars
Fast And Furious
X-Men
Avengers
Spiderman
Shrek
Transformers
Pirates Of The Caribbean
Bourne
Marvel Collection
DC Extended Universe
