Most underrated player in the NHL?

What is a bad take is this post right there man

I said Armia because everyone expected him to be completly ass, and he was for a time, up until St-Louis got tired of that shit and send him to the AHL

Since he came back, he might not put a lot of points (nobody on the Habs have a lot of them other than the first line anyway), but he plays a solid game, solid enough that he's currently on our second line and he's fantastic on the PK

You would know, if you knew anything at all, but it's easier to look at stats, and write bad takes like that
Oh I forgot... He plays on the second line because the team is bad. Anderson, Gallagher, Pearson are trash. Remeber 26th in the league.. Not because someone play second line on a bad teams means that this guy is underrated

Sure! Im a Season ticket holder of the Habs. I go to approx 15-20 games per year. So yeah I just look at stats.. Before making up stuff about what I watch and know about the habs, I'll stick to the facts that he's bad.

You think this guy is underrated when he's making 3.4m and he's not involved in several facets of the game, he's litteraly 558th in the league for Salary/Points but yeah he's underrated.

The only aspect that he's been OK this year is defensively. And that is considering that we are 27th in the league in PK and 26th in GA. It's a team stat that he is fully part of.

The guy is 6'3'' and hes never involved physically, doesnt show up when teamates get crushed. He's a ghost must of the time, he doesnt set the tempo of a game, he's not a momentum changer.

So I imagine that what I see live from the bell center vs what you see sitting in your living room is completely different!

Imagine paying that much and still not understanding the sport.

The salary has what to do with expectations? Nothing. The Habs fanbases thought Armia was going to suck, and right now, he's playing well.

I don't know what to tell you other than watch the game?

That's like, your opinion Man

*Checks notes* Dryden Hunt was a second line center on a 110 point Rangers team.

Again, you talk without knowing nothing. I played hockey at a level you get paid to play, so I think I understand the game quite a bite! Oh and I have an old teamate playing right now with the habs. I guess I dont understand the sport ;)

Edit: Anyway EVEN if you think Armia is underrated, he is clearly not the most underrated in the NHL. not even top 100.

Dahlin. For most the year he led the NHL in goals for defenseman and I believe has the most ice time in the NHL for a defenseman. He does everything as a 23 year old defenseman and people want to put him in a tier under the better defenseman in the NHL.

Leading Dmen in goals is not really that big of a deal. It's not been long since Chychrun led all Dmen in goal with Nurse and Chiarot as second and third over the whole season.

You're correct about one thing here though. People wanna put him a tier under the better defensemen in the NHL, and rightly so.

Clearly telling bullshit won't help you convincing me or others about the fact that you don't know both about how Armia is doing right now and what underrated means

And he ain't the most underrated player on the league, that would be crazy talk
He's not even the most underrated player on the Habs either, he's simply a case of a currently underrated player IMO

I feel like guys have to do it for more than a season under the radar to really be considered underrated. Moore could be having a breakout year or it could be a one off

He's 28(almost 29). this is his LA record, this is his 6th season, but the first 2 were in Toronto and he didn't do much there.

20-21 56 games 10g 13a 23p (.411ppg) spct 11.4 toi/g 14.32
21-21 81 games 17g 31a 48p (.593ppg) spct 8.4 toi/g 15.41
22-23 56 games 10g 19a 29p (.518ppg) spct 6.1 toi/g 16.59 (injury shorten season)
23-24 69 games 25g 23a 48p (.696ppg) spct 11.5 toi/g 18.01 he's playing with better players this year.

Perhaps Filip Forsberg. He is strong, responsible, skilled, pretty good scoring touch, good passing iq, a leader. Plus can score goals that make the crowd go crazy.

I would have thought of him as a very good 3rd liner coming into the year and I'd say those numbers kind of support that. I suppose he's a little underrated, just saying the driving factor could be he hasn't been playing at this level long enough for people to really take notice

Forsling. He leads all defensemen in points share, and by a pretty significant margin. He should be in the Norris convo. If he ever went down, the Panthers would be screwed.

LMAO. The "Glueman" on a mediocre team with no clear path to a championship.
LMAO. The guy still trying to tell himself that the Oilers are mediocre.

Can't believe Edmonton fans haven't plastered every page with McDavid.
And yet you just keep begging us Oiler fans to reply…..

I will plaster this thread with Hyman from the Oilers. Hard working, gritty 40-50 goal scorer that is on a sweetheart contract…..

Lafreniere
Luostarinen
Verhaeghe
Malenstyn
Protas
Barabanov (at least last year , not sure what’s going on this year)

Pavelski also a good call
