Unfortunately, not as slow as this season.

He had 4 points through 16 games last year and they were all assists.

He scored his last 19 points of the season over the last 40 games.

This year he only has 4 points in 29 games and all 4 of them came in the first 15 games. He's currently on a 14 game pointless drought.

This is more like his start in 19-20 than anything, only he has 1 assist and had 0 assists and 4 goals in 35 games that year.

I know he doesn't play many minutes, but he doesn't score enough to cut it in the NHL long term. 38 points in 148 games in the league is really just not enough for a forward, unless they play some kind of specific role like McLeod does. And while I'm not sure he's worse than McLeod, they don't see him as a ''Face off specialist'' or ''Defensive checking center'' like McLeod, thus he becomes much more expendable because of it.

I could honestly see him going overseas after this year. If we bring him back again for another year, I don't think he'll get anywhere near as much NHL time next year.

I'm pretty sure someone would have picked him up off of waivers if he went through this year, but not so much next year, with what he's followed up with this year. Especially if he's waived during camp.

And while I'm on the topic of McLeod, I don't see him as a long term player in the league, though he'll almost definitely stick around the league longer than Boqvist, because of that ''Role player'' factor that I mentioned.

You right it is slow this year also, but i get the sense we will see a burst output from him soon if he sticks in lineup...

Hughes has had to have made it known that he likes playing with Haula?? That’s the only reasonable explanation for why Haula has been stapled to Hughes all year.
Haula takes the faceoffs, covers up for Jacks defensive deficiencies, and lets him roam. Obviously this doesn't work in the long run because Haula has the finishing ability of Josefson, but it works in most other aspects.

I see their D is banged up, but they still have the potential to put a lot of goals up. I wouldn’t mark this a W just yet.

You guys are going to light us up tonight. Bet you make Smith look dumb on his first shift too. Can’t believe they are putting him in for this one as his first game up.

It would’ve been fun to see us both healthy.

Sullivan’s been overplaying our worst defenseman and worst defensive forward as a shutdown pairing. If that happens tonight the Devils are going to go buck wild.

Hmmm, at the game and couldn’t tell that Boq was one of our best skaters? Cmon now. :teach2:
For @RSeen and @Zippy316 as well.

It's Boqvist's body of work and my desire to see Holtz get consistent reps in, not that one game. Holtz is still a kid and we need to know sooner rather than later if that shot of his is the future.

Boqvist on the other hand has 4 points and one assist in 29 games as (mostly) a centerman at 24 y/o. That's beyond disgraceful.

Besides Blackwood he's easily the player I'd like to see off the team asap. Josefson 2.0 at best.
