Oh no a matinee you know what that means. Whatever, I never will root for the team to lose, LGD.

The fact that they had the EBUG practicing the other day and Daws sat is just more fuel to the fire for the belief I have that Daws will play both games this weekend. They asked Lindy in the pregame presser something about his play (I couldn’t really hear it, but it wasn’t specifically asking if he was gonna play both days) and he mentioned something about how we’re trying to give him the rest he needs. It reminded me of the EBUG the other day while he didn’t get on the ice.

Can’t wait for Vitek’s injury to be yet another one to write off for an excuse, as if he was actually helping us and we’re better off with him playing than not.

Yeah, we were doing a great job helping him. We were able to win some hockey games by scoring 6 when he allowed 5.

We can’t score much for shit anymore other than the game outside at night in below freezing temperatures.

Lindy has to much pressure on his job to start a rookie goalie even in a game we should win

He knows it. Poulter can blow up in his face and then we are really f***ed

Best case scenario, the offense shows up and puts up a big early lead. Then play a trap defense the whole game and give some of the top guys less minutes.

I can't imagine he'd give Poulter a start with his job/season on the line, and I think Vanecek's injury might be phony. I expect B2B Daws. Poulter might come in in the 2nd period thought of either game if Daws is a disaster.

Agree with everything, other than the phony injury. I do think it may be some kind of a mental reset though. Especially after he started out just sick.

Sick + lower body injury to me means they just wanted him out of the lineup. I don't think they were "phony" injuries, bad word choice, but he could play through it if they wanted him to. My mental model of NHL players is basically all players are injured constantly.

I think they decided to shelve him while they closed the deal on a goalie trade and when that fell through just kept him on the shelf.

Tierney with Meier and Toffoli is a very odd decision. Just put Lazar there? Neither are great choices but Tierney is awful offensively.

Running Daws into the ground, I was close with the 7 D and Miller.

Meier with Toffoli and Tierney oooooof. Nico's line has been good but we need to see Timo there on the RW.

The D looks much better, not sure about Siegs and Marino though.

I actually kind of like the d pairs and moving Smith to forward if he's actually there (and not 7D). Sending down Hatakka though gonnna be the no. 1 reason this team misses.
