Time will tell - never liked Wright anyways but yeah.. there will always be some disappointing moves no matter what GM is in charge. I think everyone put Kent on some pedestal like he was some genius, truth is he's just another GM with a plan that may or may not work.

I would have done all 3 moves of Kirby, Newhook and Barron at the time so I can't fault him for those.

Michkov draft I really didn't like. So I'll go with that.

All moves are still early to tell and I still don't consider them all bad.

Dach. We gave up 13th pick in draft and first pick in 3rd round. He's been a disappointment

Dach was a great acquisition. Injuries have messed it up but that doesn’t change it being a great pickup.

Keep in mind that Baron came with a 2nd. We leveraged that 2nd and another forst to move up and take Hage.

Although the recent comedic British series about infamous highway robber Dick Turpin makes criminals of that ilk, look endearing (well worth watching), this in no way applies to the Avs.

I can understand the trade for Dach and Barron. I just can't undestand why we traded for Newhook.

I really think that 50 point 19 year-old whose still pacing for near 50 points again is probably the worst as OP intelligently suggested. Probably shoulda grabbed that other kid who has less points this season because I can only think in 10 game or smaller sample sizes.

Got to be Dach at this point. It’s nice that he showed flashes two years ago, but it’s not enough. You couldn’t get either Romanov or Nazar for him straight up at this point so it’s a loss.

Nazar was not in the cards. Habs wanted Dach and Chicago requested to get Isles’ #13 pick.

And dach was quite good for the Habs when he was healthy before Game #2 last season.

He was definitely in the cards if we just kept the pick. The trade is a loss. And being good for 1 game isn’t something I’m going to brag about.

A GM with zero experience. Just like his coach.

Honestly, the ones I hated from the get go were the Newhook trade, the Barron trade and the Reinbacher pick.

His worst move is hiring coach with zero experience and not surrounding him with experienced assistants. But hiring in the first place was dumb.
