Who are some of the most and least durable players in your estimation?

I'm not asking merely about guys who happen to get hurt a lot or who are usually be in the line up. Some players play a style that is more conducive to getting hurt.

Obviously it's hard to be certain on this, but which players do you think are naturally fragile and prone to getting hurt and which are the opposite?

Kessel, Yandle, and Marleau all have active streaks of over 800 games played without missing any due to injury, although that is probably due in large part to the style of their game (especially Kessel, who is really adept at avoiding contact).

The name that comes to mind when I think "least durable player" will forever be Rick DiPietro.

Dipietro got injured at the All-Star game and it was downhill from there... (injuries)

Ales Hemsky was a Hab for a moment and he got injured again. He came from Dallas where he couldn't stay healthy either. A point-per-game player in his prime.

I'm adding Carlo Colaiacovo. Had some healthier season with the Blues, but I remember as teenagers we waited to see him score on the PP etc but he was often hurt.

Martin Havlat was one of my favourite players. He was also the most easily injured. Bench door, really?

Imagine this line:
Hemsky - Lemieux - Havlat

They'd never play! If they did play, they'd never play together due to injury. And if they did play together, it wouldn't be for longer than 10 games before one of them got injured.

Especially Marleau. He gets a pass because he’s a 6’2 stoic Canadian hockey archetype. One of the softest players to have ever laced them up when you actually watch him play

I guess it means Marleau wasn't influenced by the Sharks captain when he came into the league, Owen Nolan.

Unfortunately he had plenty of influence on the leafs stars though. Take a high salary, look out for yourself, just coast around so long as you are getting paid, never stand up for a teammate, never show any passion

Connor Brown. Not sure he’s missed a game due to injury in his young career yet. Maybe he has, but if so, he hasn’t missed too many. He’s already played 324 games in four seasons in the league.

Did that happen to Havlat? It happened to Magnus Arvedson when he played for Ottawa.

Sami Salo is another guy who couldn’t stay healthy. Injured all the time. When I was in high school, I did a job placement for the Sens in their Publications department and Salo came in one day with his arm in a sling.

Ovechkin is the first guy that comes to mind, particularly given how he plays.

As far as my team, all 3 members of the core (Toews, Kane, Keith) have been shockingly durable over the years, at least as far as being in the lineup. How much wear and tear impacted performance at times is another discussion.
