Would love to go but I'm afraid of being the target of violence due to being transgender (not so much visibly, but my deep voice would give me away).
for those heading to Russia--you need a valid health care provider and as I found out today--my health care provider is not valid in Russia and I do have a good one.
There are few questions on the application to go to the country that you may find amusing
also---here is the yin/yang--they tell you not to pay or book anything before you get your visa--but they wont issue you a visa unless you can provide where you are staying and what you are doing
For example here: LINK
When you choose your date and click on the "Seating chart booking, Search for your seat yourself", you can choose your seat
Nobody else having problems buying tickets on the website?
I got a declined message, but the bank said nothing was declined at their end. Is this what you have?
Yep. I think the Russian merchant is declining to process our cards. Not sure if it's just American banks or what.
Hopefully just a temporary glitch. I don't see why they would decline American cards.
I had to call my bank when I bought my tickets and it went through--I was unable to buy tickets with getting my bank involved
BTW, I'd recommend, if you'll have a possibility, to visit some old Russian towns. Russia is not only St-Petersburg or Moscow. There are a lot of interesting things to see here.
I'll write it shorter for you: visit Yaroslavl![]()
if anybody is having difficulty finding accommodation/visa in St. Petersburg, let me know, I can point you in the right direction.
