If you are Seider agent. You are looking at Nurse and Jones contracts. 2 other highly regarder young dman who got paid.

Yzerman may not like it and bridge him, but 1000% sure that's what his agent is aiming at

No you aren't. Nurse and Jones were UFA's. UFA's have their pick of the litter most years, and bidding wars/higher prices to go with that. RFA's don't have much leverage at all. 8x8 is more than fair for where he is right now and where he will be the next year or two.

Jones and Nurse got paid premiums by bad management teams. Those were also their 3rd contracts, not 2nd.

Makar and Heiskanen deals will be more similar. 2nd contracts.

Other major difference was they were UFA, not RFA.

I disagree, Chiarot is a blackhole, no question, but Mo's play was unspectacular outside of a stretch before the ASG. By the TDL he was back to being not as good as he was the year prior. Basically a stretch between January 1 and February 15th he was looking like rookie Mo. The rest of the season wasn't nearly as good.

Mo's play was great the second Chiarot was no longer with him. In fact, his season had already started to improve the game or two before Chiarot got moved. After the deadline the whole team regressed as we lost a bunch of depth and were hampered by injuries and general less energy from players with less to play for in the last 10-15 meaningless games.

Kerfoot, Holl, and a 2nd?

If you make that trade with Montreal, I think you could easily get Ryder, Halak and a 2nd.
