I refuse to believe this is the deal.

Frost and Farabee aren't top talents, but given their age, their ability to contribute right away and still provide youth for Calgary, I can't believe Briere couldn't extract real value.

Nor do I buy it's a Torts' deal, b/c there is no way on God's earth he's want Kuzmenko, who's allergic to playing defense, near Michkov.

The only credible piece is Pellitier, but he's worth far less than Frost or Farabee.

And the Flyers don't need cap room, they have Ellis' LTIR money available at the TDL if needed.

You are wrong, Kuzmenko is a high IQ player, and Phily doesn't have any LW like him. As bad as he's this season, Farabee isn't any better. And if you look at two previous seasons, Kuzmenko scored more goals for Vancouver in his first season, than Farabee scored in both ones for basically the same money...

He's slow, he's soft, he doesn't like playing defense and the league has caught up to him.
Only value would be in a sheltered role on a deep team and PP2.
Given his contract he has negative value.

Right. Pump up his stats with two of your three best Forwards. Him plus Michkov and Couturier is a tremendous 4th Line.
