Honestly, if the Rangers were a playoff team, and the vibe around here was a little less negative, I do think there would be a lot more posts about how absolutely awful the officials were today. Not just the refs, but the linesmen were either ignorant or had money on Pittsburgh in the second period.

Pittsburgh was offside at least six times and the puck crossed the blue line multiple times during their caving the Rangers.

I'm not absolving the abysmal Ranger effort in the second period, but there was also some serious ice tilting taking place that seemed to be missed or chalked up to the dominance.

As for this sell, sell, sell stuff, who can legitimately be sold for any kind of a return? I'm not disagreeing that players need to go, I'm just trying to think rationally of what returns are out there for declining players on huge contracts.

It was a national game with Sid and Geno so they used the 08-09 rulebook tonight. Bad hat to whine about officials when the team is getting outworked though. Just my opinion.

My point wasn’t that Trocheck has been great of late, but rather that his effort is never in question, at least from my own personal analysis.

I can say we should have been playing him less than 24 minutes a game, but if you trade him you end up trying to replace about 7 different things all through the forward lineup to make up for it. Throw in the fact that he’s on a solid contract?

He’d be on my “only for an overpayment” list.

We cut loose Matt Cullen after one season and never should have done that.

I think he's an effort player. Nothing comes easy for him. I agree he struggle defensively at times but I think you should consider that Panarin has been his winger for an extended period, and Panarin is an absolute joke in his own end. Also his other winger seems to be cheating to the neutral zone more often than being in position in his own zone. Laffy has been a mess defensively. Not absolving Trocheck but it's hard to play defense as a center with two wingers that are completely unreliable defensively.
I agree that whole line is abysmal.

I don't see it. She asks ok questions, nothing earth shattering and she says thank you in foreign languages. I cannot stand her tone of voice. It's this high pitch 16 year old valley girl thing she does when she speaks. She legit doesn't sound like a professional.
My daughter is 16 and hates Emily. Her off the cuff comments about her are hilarious.

You guys need to have a backup team youre a fan of, then when the Rangers play like ass, the backup team cheers you up. Its like in ww1 trench warfare, think of the Rangers as your 1st line of trench but what happens if you get attacked by a human wave assault, your machine gun barrels are melting, you retreat to your 2nd line of trenches. Your backup team. Then when the Rangers start playing better, you counter attack back to your front line of trenches. My backup team is Napoli ssc in serie A. Right now Im in my backup line of trenches, theres some mortar fire coming in Im having some coffee in my bunker.

All of my other teams are pretty good.

This is my kid who eats glue when all the others are doctors.

Am I crazy? I've never heard of anyone comment how she sounds like a f***ing teenager when she speaks. How does this bother no one?
My daughter does.

She goes to school with a bunch of ridiculously wealthy girls who sound EXACTLY the same with that fake breathy voice. My daughter says Emily sounds like them.

Her best comment is "for someone who actually seems to know the sport, and is a decent reporter, she's too old to come across as a desperate puck bunny."

Leah Hextall is actually better as a reporter. Emily should be for ESPN what Elliotte Friedman is for Sportsnet.

With Leah Hextall as bad as she is she is clearly in there to trailblaze. Plus, she kind of sucks at her job but at least I never get the feeling she's unprofessional. There are a lot of between the bench reporters I feel like historically that are women. We don't need unprofessional ones.

My daughter liked Kaapo Kakko, so she's been watching Seattle games a bit. She likes Piper Shaw, who's basically the Kraken's Michele Gingras.

Having a three headed monster at center is such a luxury. They can just chew up and spit out the other teams’ bottom 6 and bottom pair. It’s pornographic.
