I'm sure Kakko would have been first and willed this team into 40 shots on goal and 10 goals.

Obviously I'm joking but I think some of us, or at least me are kind of rooting for Borgen because of the all of the over the top hysterics about Kakko.

Just as with most players. The biggest support he ever had was after he was traded. All of a sudden I see all of these Kakko fans come out of the woodwork.

I don't think they're talented enough to play much of any system.

They aren't quick enough to play this one in their own end. Man on man is best when you have fast players, it doesn't work when players are skating away from you.

This team is like the company catered buffet in the break room. You see the garlic bread you like so you grab one, then the display of mish mash lowest cost sausage rolls and bologna sandwiches on dry tray buns, the cold pasta noodles that’s nothing to write home about but at least it’s tangy thai style so you scoop some then it’s back to carrot and celery sticks so you eventually are forced to go back and get another garlic bread another scoop of cold noodles and help yourself to a tall cup of coke. You could get rid of 95% of the team and even if you lost a good nice player in the process, it’s just collateral damage. You can tip the entire table of free food and not feel your heart skip a beat. This is a pimp my ride suped up version of the mid 2010s phoenix coyotes.

This is gonna feel like a betrayal, but after a decent sample size, my conclusion is that he's not that good. Sorry. I wanted to like him.

Lindgren, Miller, and Vaak are all out of position well too often. Miller has physical skills to cover ground to make up for it a decent amount of the time. Vaak is whatever and is limited by his 3rd pairing role. Lindgren is an abomination.

Some vets and then some very mediocre bottom line quality forwards aren't good enough to play much of a system effectively against other good NHL players. Some vets just seemingly can't be f***ed to care enough on defense as well.

All of the defense looks just awful because the forward support is nonexistent. The forwards fly the zone or they're not in position because they were pulled away from where they're supposed to be because of the scrambling. The dmen constantly have no choice but to flip the puck out, chip it up the boards or try a low-percentage stretch pass. It's just awful to watch. Having that 10 to 20 foot pass/relief valve option happens too rarely.

Worst possible type of win. We sucked, but won and so the gm will keep wheeling the corpse of this team and coaching staff out again.

Also, my gosh with the Z defense. He sucked. He sucked ass. Like the entire team did tonight. No it doesn't make his suck ok cause trocheck also sucked.

That's the same as saying this stabbing isn't that bad cause that guy shot someone.

The Rangers would never have two guys perceived as offensive defensemen.

In 2005-06, they had Sandis Ozolinsh and Tom Poti. One was an offensive defenseman. The other was perceived as one.
