The team trading away Trocheck after having him cape up for his malcontent buddy to get him here would be peak content
It's a broken finger. A team can trade for him and let him rest and he's 100 percent for playoffs. A broken finger isnt a ruptured Achilles. Players play with broken fingers all the time that fans have no clue about. With him clearly nursing a hand injury,I would be shocked if anyone would want to trade for him
Is that kind of voodoo even allowed???
It's funny how much everyone hated the Kakko deal and yet Borgen is shockingly one of the better players on this roster.
We're praising Borgan for his play in a game we should've lost by a mile because Igor stood on his head and the Pens that played like they weren't worse than us couldn't cash out on the shots they doubled up against us.
That's where the bar is at.
I know, but I don't think the Rangers want to move him anyway.Hes a good player having a rough season on a good contract. It's a broken finger. Did anyone hear that Miller and Trocheck were "best friends" before the Miller to nyr stuff started? Now with the narrative its like they have been inseparable for decades yet its never been talked about until recently. It's clear they are friends but the media has made this out to be more than it is, and what about Drury this year makes you think he doesn't have the guts to rip someone's heart out? This entire season has been married with that.He should be available but I don’t think the rangers have the guts to do so after bringing in his best friend.
We better trade 93 before we trade Trocheck.People should keep an eye on Trocheck. He's not a guy nyr wants to trade but out of the garbage on this roster he might be the most valuable to a contender right now based on his contract. His age puts him in a weird position bc having Trocheck and Miller in their young 30s for a non-playoff team walks them both towards decline at the same time, not to mention zib is in the same situation based on age/performance.
Panarin yes. Mika was one of our best players defensively today. This team gets destroyed in the underlying metrics because our top paid offensive players are so bad they never are able to play offense. And when they are forced to defend they are butter soft. They have to move Panarin and Mika (and Kreider by extenstion) if they ever want to change the apathetic culture of the team
Miller is a stud as was stated before. He's a bull on the ice with skill and makes a ton of great small plays around the ice. The thing that stands out so largely is that when he chips the puck he actually follows up the chip to get the puck instead of staring at others hoping they do the work.
Trocheck has limitations offensively and possession wise that are helped a ton when he's with Panarin no think they need to keep those two together and pair laffy with Miller.
Panarin Trocheck Smith
Cuylle/laffy Miller laffy/Cuylle
Kally zib Berard
Kreider is basically a 4th line power play specialist at this point. He and zib need to be kept apart for as long as they are each here.
I dont get the love/excuses for Trocheck. He is literally one of the worst players in 2025.He Trocheck and Cuylle are the only top 9 forwards who show up every night so far
I brought up cozens for kakko before the Seattle trade. I have no doubt nyr is poking around there but buffalo does not want to send their former #7oa pick 3 hours down the road. It's a challenging trade to makeIm more open to Schneider for Cozens than I've been. He's a good fit with the young wings we have comeing up and he's at least capable of putting up points.
Laf with 0 points and a -2 is f***ing LOL-worthy. And Cuylle still played less minutes than him.
Don't see the Panthers trading lundell for Panarin. I think at this point every team would rather have the young 2 way center opposed to the 1 dimensional aging winger. Lundell 's offense is coming together as well.Id retain on Panarin to get Lundell or Luotsairanen
the proof will be in the doing of course, but it does seem that the moves Drury has made this season have been with an eye on the future rather than just for today. No pending and aging UFA’s at the deadline. Any move should have next year and the future in mind

He has been bad this year, about ten games in I brought up that last year was also the most games Trocheck has played in a single season and the most minutes per game he has played. I think Trocheck is running on fumes this year. It was than extremely short summer for him as well.Panarin yes. Mika was one of our best players defensively today.

Craig Button promised me he'd be a 60+ point player from Day 1
Don't disagree, but what value do they have to trade? Their top three centers are all over 30 years old and they are most likely going to miss the playoffs. Another year on all three of those centers is not a good thingI know, but I don't think the Rangers want to move him anyway.Hes a good player having a rough season on a good contract.

One is easy to trade for good value despite a clause, one you will need to really work at to trade and has a nmc. Very different situations. We better trade 93 before we trade Trocheck.
