More MVP Worthy Player: Mackinnon, Kuch or Drai?

Get back to me when you figure out what door was actually opened for Hall to win the Hart in the first place.

Hint: Take a good look at where the Oilers finished in the 2017-2018 standings.

The Bruins have won four whole games in the past two months. Four. And that includes last night's win that you apparently raced over here to post about like it's some kind of brilliant gotcha moment.

The Bruins are literally last in the East and scraping the bottom four across the entire league, yet here you are bringing up Hall and the Devils—who he helped drag into the playoffs as a 97-point team. And you're following me around because I made an impersonal comment about it being an insult to the other candidates?

Pasta is a gem of a player, but even if the Bruins were in the playoff hunt, there’s so many more players with an interesting case this season.
Get back to me when you figure out that 1) hockey is a team sport and one single player can’t win hockey games by himself, 2) that “the Hart Memorial Trophy is presented annually “to the player adjudged to be the most valuable to his team.” and that fits Pastrnak’s performance to a tee.
And for the record, McDavid deserved the Hart that year too, just like Pastrnak deserves it this year.

Where and what I post or don’t post about isn’t your concern, as it’s still a free world. As you are free to post abrasive crap, I am free to comment about it. Got that loud and clear? I hope so.

Kucherov again ties it up with less games played. Apparently according to the bias canadians he is a bum though and isn't more domiante scoring more points than mack per game at a position harder to create offense from the wing. Dont forget Kucherov also put himself into the category with Gretsky prior with back to back 30 plus point playoffs leading his team. Mackinnon has yet to enter a category with an all time great but was the mvp for some reason. What a scrub he is putting himself in the same category as one of the greatest three different ways
Three players in nhl history with 40 goals and 100 assist in a season. Mario, Wayne, and Nikita Kucherov
Two players in nhl history with back to back 30 point playoff runs kucherov and Gretzky.
Two players in nhl hisotry with 80 + assist three seasons in a row. The craziest thing he is doing this from the wing position where it is harder to get secondary assist than the center.
Here's a complete list of forwards in NHL history who have reached 80+ assists, three years in a row:

1. Wayne Gretzky
2. Nikita Kucherov

Pastrnak has no chance to win the Hart but the point differentials between him and his next highest scoring teammate over the past three seasons are wild:

This season, 44 points
Last season, 43 points
Two seasons ago, 46 points

He's a great player.
pasta has been involved in 10 straight goals, does anybody know the record for that?

I like your attitude but anyone saying it's harder to create offense from the wing when it's literally your only job is just wrong. How does anyone watch or play hockey and think it's harder to play offense from the wing? Lacking chances on secondary assist is offset by significantly higher chances to produce primary points... common sense.

You can get secondary from the faceoff starts there is a reason why there more top 10 centers with points then wingers usually. Centers usually touch puck and drive play more .

Kucherov is a great , great player. Your insecurity about mackinnon also being equally great is hilarious l though.

Both were neck and neck last year , this year is also quite close. 2 amazing players but instead you use every opportunity to spew the same rhetoric, sad.

You know the players also voted mackinnon right? And kuch finished 2nd in mvp voting - not a "bum" as you say, just not as valuable as mackinnon.

Mackinnon won an mvp with 4 fewer points than kucherov, but 7 more goals. You need to get over it lol

How many categories has Mackinnon entered with Gretzky?

A few actually.

Only players with 35+ game home scoring streaks. Longest point streak as an 18 year old.

But those are arbitrary and had no bearing on the mvp. Just like Kuchs 30 point playoffs didn't matter either. It was 144 to 140 and mackinnon had 7 more goals. Get over it dude, he lost

Kucherov deserved it in my opinion as well. I'm over it lol.

Not to mention, players with 40 goals and 100 assists in a season: Gretzky, Lemieux, Kucherov, end list.

Most assists by a winger, single season
1. Kucherov, 100, 2023-24 (No one else has ever scored 90)
T-2. Kucherov, 87, 2018-19
T-2. Jagr, 87, 1995-96
4. Jonathan Huberdeau, 85, 2021-22
T-5. Kucherov, 83, 2022-23
T-5. Bossy, 83, 1981-82
T-5. Jagr, 83, 1998-99
8. Kucherov, 81, (and counting) 2024-25

Doesn't really change the fact that Draisaitl should still really win MVP, but damn. Quite a run 86 is on
