Haven't had a chance to watch anything Moose related (although based on score I didn't miss much). Apparently Chaz Lucis is day-to-day with something.

Adding this doozy of a game note from the Moose:

“The 165 penalty minutes recorded by the teams is the most in the AHL this season. The previous high was 74.”

Jesus they got their asses kicked in the scraps, too

Moose continue to not be able to score. Seems like DiVincentiis has been brought up and is giving them good goaltending.
Only caught part of the game on the radio. Sounds like top line was generating chances, 8 shots for Ford, 4 for Lambert and Shaw.

Is Lucius done?

Di Vincentiis seems like the most solid goalie the team has.

Sauntner is a local Manitoban but he's on the wrong side of some bad highlights this year.

Seems like Chaz is day to day. I feel for the kid but I don't envision him having an NHL career at this point. He's missed far too much development time.

Played today. No impact, but at least he's playing again. I think his injury has been Parker Ford's opportunity.

Apparently Lambert us playing RW now for the Moose. Have they given up on him being an NHL center as well?

Sounds like a question for @ICdave -- maybe they're just rotating players round. IIRC that's been a thing for Moose forwards for a while now.

Of course, none of those forwards have made the Jets as centres...

From the highlights I've seen Lambert is still playing center positionally. Seen him starting plays from behind his own net, wingers usually don't do that. I don't think JAD is there, might take more draws though. But they are going back to AJF who had Lambo scoring in the second half last year, and JAD is kind of the Malott role that worked, more where you would have expected the team to start this year.

Ford is with Toninato and Shaw I believe, and that's pretty much it for recall depth. Everybody else is trying to stay in the lineup, or on an AHL contract.

What's people's thoughts on Coghlan? Should he be ahead of Heinola on the depth chart at RD? Get a recall after the deadline, get him playing in some NHL games, or keep him on the Moose until the end of the year? He's a player I hope the Jets re-sign this offseason.

He’s healthy scratched I believe. @ICdave — anything to report?

I hope they know what they are doing. Can't say I've been super happy with the development going on there this year.

Really only Salomonsson and DiVincentiis (who was sent down to the ECHL for half a year) have done anything of note. Everyone else has stagnated or regressed.

Lambert having a poor year
Zhilkin doing nothing
Kuzzman getting traded for doing nothing
Other players doing nothing and asking for their releases.
Luscious having a hard time contributing after loosing so much time.

I'd be thinking long and hard about the developmental model this summer if I'm Chevy and maybe I make a coaching change while bringing in the best players to help these kids grow.

The team had a 2-1 lead going into the 3rd, managed to put up four shots all period (including two after Texas already scored an empty netter to put the game away) and lose 4-2. Ladies and gentlemen, your 2025 Manitoba Moose!
