Claude's first order of business:

1. Stop gaining blue line with puck., Convert to dump and chase
2. Get the 4th line more minutes
3. Convert Galchenyuk to wing since he can't play center in such a complex system
4. Funnel puck back to d to set up offense
5. Train all forwards to back check before puck is even in offensive zone
6. Get 3rd line more minutes
7. Swap Patches out for Desharnais on PP
8. Profit

I laughed at no. 5.:yo:

‘‘The decision to remove Michel from his coaching duties was a difficult one because I have lots of respect for him,’’ Bergevin said in a statement. ‘‘I came to the conclusion that our team needed a new energy, a new voice, a new direction.’’

‘‘Claude Julien is an experienced and well-respected coach with a good knowledge of the Montreal market,’’ Bergevin said. ‘‘Today we hired the best available coach and one of the league’s best. I am convinced that he has the capabilities to get our team back on the winning track.’’

This is just shocking to me. Definitely did not see this coming! This will definitely put more fule on the fire or the rivalry. I put a link below to a story I found about it not sure if it's new information but it did include a statement from the Canadians.

Xenophobia runs strong up there. Claude's bilingual and that actually matters to their fanbase. Sad, really. But man, I'm excited. He's going to turn that team from one that is about offensive creativity and speed to plodding defensively aware to a fault in no time.

I'm a huge Claude fan, think the Bruins did him wrong and wished him well.
Now, the past is the past and I don't wish him well.

"I would like to sincerely thank Michel for his relentless work with the Montreal Canadiens over his eight seasons behind the bench, including the last five seasons when we worked together. The decision to remove Michel from his coaching duties was a difficult one because I have lots of respect for him. I came to the conclusion that our team needed a new energy, a new voice, a new direction. Claude Julien is an experienced and well respected coach with a good knowledge of the Montreal market. Claude has been very successful as an NHL coach and he won the Stanley Cup. Today we hired the best available coach, and one of the league's best. I am convinced that he has the capabilities to get our team back on the winning track," said Canadiens general manager, Marc Bergevin.

Good for Claude!

And a giant "Oh ****!" for the Bruins.

Holy eff. Julien's Revenge!

I have come round to the conclusion that it was, in fact, time for the B's to move on from Claude. That doesn't excuse the contemptable, shabby manner in which they did so.

To be clear, I don't want Canadiens to defeat my Bruins. Nonetheless I wish Claude the very best.

And to those banging the drum loudly over the years for his dismissal, I again addend,

*Be careful what you wish for, Virginia. You just might get it. *

As far as Im concerned Claude sure as hell aint the bad guy here.

The Bruins decided they no longer wanted him and exercised their right to fire his ass. Cool. Thats their right.

JJ just saved himself over 3 million bucks. Cool again . Its his money.

Net/net, Claude can find a job where he likes. Its not like a Parcells move.

Therrien back to Pitt
Sullivan back to Bos
Cassidy back to Was
Trotz back to Nas
Laviolette back to...actually it doesn't matter, the chain ends with him

If Sullivan ever comes back to coach Boston, or Lewis for that matter, I am not watching the Bruins. I could not handle another year with either of those two as coaches ever again.
