Or you could try to convince me why those concerns are not legitimate, because it would make me feel better about Montreal's chances if you can do that.
The way I see it is Habs vs. Pens this year, we beat them 4-0 (we were by far the better team). Then they beat us 4-3 in OT (they tied it with less than a minute left in the game so we were that close to beating them again). And then they beat us 4-1 (which they were by far the better team). Pretty even between them in those 3 games.
As for Habs vs. Caps. Once again, we beat them 2-1 in the first meeting. And even though the score was low, we were all over them that game and we were solid defensively. We didn't give them much. Then they beat us 4-1 where they were by far the better team. And they beat us 3-2 in February and we hung in there with them.
And the biggest note is that during the 4 games we lost between them, it was during Price's slump in end of December/January/February. That's not the Price we have now.
Another small thing that could tell a different story when we face them, under Julien, we have increased our high danger scoring chances for while simultaneously decreasing the ones against.
So a few things that don't make me afraid of them. That's not to say I think we will roll over them. I'm just not afraid.
