Thought Habs fans might be interested in Nemec talking about Mesar and Slaf after practice today. Its definitely not a Habs quality video as the sound sucks.

Bullet points

-Nemec liked that Slaf and Mesar watched him during practice
-Is sad that he won't be able to play against Slaf today as they haven't ever played against each other before.
-laughed at Slaf saying he will finish him on the boards but said that last game he finished Mesar along the boards
-Is happy of the success that his country had in the draft.
-Says the reason Slaf is so big and strong is because of spinach.

The Spinach comment makes me think of the Ivan Drago scene from rocky about him eating spinach every day. Can't wait for Slaf to say "if he dies, he dies"

Here
There was a funny exchange in the Owen Beck habs interview
"Are you good at face offs"
"Yes"
"How good?"
"1st in the OHL"
"Oh wow I didnt know that, just kidding"

I dont know it just felt funny seeing the guy who already knows beck is good in face offs but was just seeing HOW he would respond, and I thought Becks point blank "1st in the OHL" stood out to me as an answer because of the confidence he said it with and just taking pride in the fact he IS really good at face offs

This guy probably has a Josh Roy type of explosion in his game next year, have a feeling, like 33 G 58 A type stuff
Problem is that Del Bel Belluz hogs all the O time. I thought it was pretty bold for the Habs to identify Beck over his more offensive minded teammate. I love it because getting a top notch capable defensive C is a must on a winning team. Like say... Phil Danault.

It was Beck’s first OHL season last year he did great but he said he wanted to work on the offensive side of his game next year, i think we will see more of him.

Seriously. What are they thinking with that lineup? They lose to Buffalo. I'm sure they'll lose tonight. Even with (perhaps) a good lineup against Ottawa, they might lose that one too. I know it doesn't mean anything, but pride and bad press should count for something.

I've seen one game and I will be getting an ahl pass to see Laval play. They're going to be that fun to watch.

Will be interesting to see if the 1st and 2nd lines can carry us and how the 1st and 3rd pairing on D hold up

Strange to see Simoneau as a winger and not a Center, I though he was good on the dot.

Meh, it is what it is. I would've like to see Slaf against his buddy Nemec. Still gonna watch. Hopefully Heineman, Beck and Mesar keep playing well.

Norlinder one of the biggest fallers in our hf prospects ranking is the one I'm gonna try to follow closely tonight
Yeah obviously Beck Heineman Mesar and Kidney but more intrigued by Norlinder at this point

Norlinder got a raw deal on the HFboards Habs prospects rankings.

It will be easier to focus on Heineman tonight. He's going back to Europe if he's cut. Interesting 1st game last night but we were all busy Slaf watching.
